  • Greetings Century Club

I just joined this community yesterday, and someone on the introduction thread was kind enough to point me this way.

I'm new to Atkins and new to this community, but I have a feeling I will be around for a while, I have a long way to go. I don't have much of a support network irl so needless to say I'm pretty excited about finding this bulletin board.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to everyone and I hope you all have a fantastic day.

Don't worry about having a long way to go - long trips are fun if you learn to enjoy the ride!

And yes, there are some pretty neat folks here. Read a lot, try your best, don't quit if you mess something up and just get right back with it immediately. You'll get there, even if it takes a little longer than it does for those who only have 20 or 30 pounds to lose. And you will have been doing it so long by then it will be second nature, so you can maintain it more easily.

          Visit often!

            Welcome to Century Club!

I smiled when you said that you would "be around for a while". When I joined I couldn't imagine being here long enough to lose all the weight I needed to lose. Happily, time goes by quickly. Health is better than being overweight. This board and this forum are all wonderful resources with people who work hard at Atkins, struggle and pick themselves up every day and others around them support their efforts here.

Congratulations on your choice to follow Atkins. Best wishes. We all learn from each other according to DANDR 2002, so we look forward to hearing about your experiences, too.

            Blessings.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
