  • Tuesday Roll Call 1-19

Happy Tuesday, Folks! How's everyone holding up? It's unseasonably warm in TX, so we're all sporting shorts, tshirts and flip flops. Don't we just sound totally fab?

So I joined the ADBB President's Challenge yesterday...you guys should look that up. There's a board where you log in all of your exercise throughout the week. OH MY WORD! It really does blow your mind. It includes housework, even!

Hey Ladies....check out A2G...his britches are falling off! WOOT! Great going!!!!

Sarah and Stephanie...how are you two holding up? Are you feeling any better, Stephanie? Miss you Sarah.

Things are going well. Not wearing shorts or flip-flops here, but it is warm for January (Don't need a sweater under my parka). I walked the dogs further than usual yesterday since it was so nice - it was great actually walking outside rather than on the treadmill in the basement!

im up and around, anyway. still trying to get into the groove of my more active life. took my dog out for a walk, and watched my 30 minutes of sportscenter from the exercise bike instead of the recliner.

      so far so good.

That's a wonderful move there! Once the remnants of this sorry respiratory infection goes away, I'll be watching the dvr'd programs from the treadmill. Unfortunately, that requires being able to breathe..lol.

Dang, Niko, that respiratory infection is hanging around forever! I had one for about two weeks in December, did nothing but sleep basically, ate a lot of broth and some hot sauce and ginger (I have no idea if it was helpful, but I always feel like it should be so I do it anyway, LOL!). Hope yours goes away for good soon.

and it's time to invest in a new belt..lol.

Well, I told you I hated shopping, LOL! I did actually look for one during the holidays when I was doing some Christmas shopping, but didn't find one I liked in my size. I was having to scoot the buckle over about an inch offcenter to get the end to stay put in the loop by my ribcage, LOL, but have found over this past week or two that now that isn't even necessary anymore. So you might be right - it might be time to actually drag myself to a few stores and locate a new one, LOL!

And as far as my saggy britches... well, I pulled out my smallest pair of casual tan pants I could locate to wear to work... small 44s. Thought I was all chic, LOL! At work, I pointed out to one of the girls who has been teasing me about my clown pants that I had on smaller ones and her response was, "well, you can probably get away with those for a little bit, but they are still hanging off your arse...". And here I thought I was stylin' and profilin', LOL! What that really tells me is that I for sure can't be wearing those comfy 46s anymore if I still get comments like that about the 44s. Dammit! That means I have to go shopping for sure very shortly. Now the question is, at about a 42 waist, which I think might still be snug but is what I probably need to buy, do I shop for the biggest pants in a regular store, or the smallest pants in the "big" stores? That used to be about the dividing line... but granted I haven't shopped for clothes for myself in some time (always get clothes for gifts on holidays, which saves me the trouble, LOL!), so I really don't know. The idea of dragging around to multiple stores and actually having to try things on holds less than no appeal at all to me, but it appears it may be time. Maybe if I keep digging through the closet and the couple boxes I still have packed up, I can put it off for another 10 pounds ;-) I've already gotten rid of over 40 shirts and probably a dozen or more pairs of pants the last few months, so at least there is a little room in the closet now.

          Happy Tuesday all -
