    Good morning! Just dropped my husband off at the airport (1 hour drive away and had to be up at 4:30 am) and am eating some leftover roast for breakfast. Then gotta drop off my son at school and head to school myself. I had a bit of a struggle while hubby was here, but he is gone for 6 weeks to work on the North Slope and so I won't have any distractions. I do struggle while he is home and do much better when he is gone. So hopefully I can lose a bunch while he is gone! hehe

      Hi everyone!!!!

      I'm late dropping by today but I'm here!!!!

      Had some great results over night...dropped two more pounds and I'm 168.8 now! Pretty happy about that.

      Wishing everyone a great low carb day! Lets make it a great one!!!

      Remember to fit some form of exercise into your day...it does make a difference

      Heaviest weight - 403 lbs. (2007)
      April 1, 2008 - 387 lbs. (This is when I initially started to lose weight…but was not on Atkins at this point)
      Atkins start weight – 347 lbs. (July 19, 2008 – began Atkins)
      1st major goal met -----100 lbs. lost as of Oct 2, 2008 - Hit 300 lbs. on this day – From April 1-08 when I initially begin to lose weight.
      2nd major goal met - 151 lbs. lost as of Jan 13, 2009 - Hit 249 lbs. on this day.
      3rd major goal met - Wed, May 13-09 - Reached losing 200 lbs. in just over a year and a couple of months.
      4th major goal met – Reached “Onederland” June 6-09 – 198 lbs.
      5th major goal met - My 1 yr. Atkins anniversary - Weighing 184 lbs. this day
      Current weight – 168.8 lbs.
      Goal weight - 150 – 160

        I have been away but am back. Taking one day at a time and working on routine and consistancy. Once I have that mastered once again i'll be back on my way to goal.

          Howdy all -
          I suppose I'm doing alright today, got out and socialized a little which I really needed to do. Haven't eaten all day though, and I do mean nothing as in not one bite, but just haven't really been hungry at all. I don't think that's a good thing - I need to find something to munch on here shortly and just make myself eat it. (OMG, I SO would not have imagined myself saying something like that back in the old days when I ate carby foods all the time and was frequently starving, LOL!).

          Niko, just by the way, I am coming up empty handed in the smaller pants dept, LOL! Found a few old pairs of 42s, but they seem too tight in the waist and create a slight mushroom effect. The 44s got me made fun of with the baggy legs and butt, but are comfy in the waist, so I'm in a quandry, LOL! I think the real solution is to just drop off another 10 pounds or so and get into the 42s so it ain't an issue. My current plan is just keep wrapping the belt around and tolerate the teasing and see if I can get into the 42s faster - it beats having to go shopping, and is cheaper too! ;-)

            You poor guy, A2G. DH has found that Old Navy works when he's between sizes. 40's are too big, but 38's are too small, so he gets the 38's at Old Navy and they're a happy medium.

              Fixed myself a quickie taco salad minus the taco part and sat down at the computer just now to read while I eat (no one here to eat with this evening).

              I just figured out part of the pants issue - the 44s are from the "big" store, so that is probably why the legs/butt are so much bigger... the 42s are from who knows where years ago, but not one of the "big" stores for sure... as long as I could squeeze into 42s I never darkened the door of a specialty store since I didn't have to, even if I had to pick and choose from different styles/cuts to find 42s that fit okay. So apparently right now I have a "big" size gut but not a "big" size butt, LOLOL! Ah, if only we could lose proportionately ;-) All in good time.

                Okay I made a weird stirfry tonight...beef strips, cabbage, diced turnips, turnip greens, onion, green pepper, and a bunch of odd seasonings...sesame oil, a dash of soy sauce, red pepper flakes, a bit of red wine vinegar, etc...but it tasted good.

                A2G~That taco salad sounded good...did you mean minus the taco shell or meat? or?
