  • Saturday Jan. 23 I am here!

    Rise and shine everyone!! rofl

Today I am just checking out some new veggie threads to make sure I am getting all I need. Also looking for some great ones for the kiddo's.

I haven't lost a thing in over a week, but I am still fighting to stick to it! I think its too much cheese (hidden?), salt, and whatever. I will start posting my menu's in my stat's thread so that I can go back over them and see what I am doing wrong. (or right, if I lose weight! rofl)

    Have a great Saturday everyone!!

Hello Sonya and everyone else to come!!!

    A wonderful Saturday to everyone!!!

Today is my rest day for the week where I don't do anything I normally would do the rest of the week....I am enjoying it greatly!!!!

Sonya, good for you for continuing to push through, problem solve and investigate possibilities regarding why things might not be moving in the weight loss department...problem solving is key.

Now, having said that....maybe your body is just re-calibrating itself and you're actually losing inches......as you know...just because the scales aren't moving...the inches might be dropping off. How are your clothes fitting? Keep going Sonya, you're doing great sticking to it and fighting through....well done my friend!
How is your water consumption and exercise looking? Sometimes it's just a matter of getting our bodies moving...just a suggestion if you haven't done that yet...also are you close to TOM?

Well, I am trying to follow the induction to the tee..but well I keep having too much cheese, I am sure of it. That and salt. And yeah, for a couple of days I didn't keep track of my water intake and I am sure it was way down. Clothes seem to fit the same, though my face seems thinner. My knees don't seem as swollen either. I do need to get moving more, but just have been ultra tired lately and not sure why. Tom isn't coming for a couple weeks yet. I will just recalibrate my diet and maybe if I get a bit more energy I will start walking...I think part of my energy slump is the fact that its the darkest time of year up here in Alaska and in winter we get very little sunlight. That and its been super cold lately. No sidewalks to walk on and super windy anyhow. I do have a treadmill but it makes my knees hurt for some odd reason. I know that in the spring time I get a lot more energy and I am much happier so I can't wait for that time to come. Until then, I will try to keep tweaking my diet and work towards the treadmill a few times a week. I do think that cheese affects me if I have it too much which is a bummer cause I love it so much. Tonight I am having butter roasted chicken and loaded cauliflower. Yummm!

Goals for next week will be: ,, and . Thanks for your support Sarina!

Re: Saturday Jan. 23 I am here!

Hi and welcome! I know how frustrating it is to have "stalls". Just be patient, stick to the program, keep up the exercise and drink the water.

Having your menu reviewed can help too.

Are you tracking what you eat in something like Fitday? I found that helps me alot too.
        Start date: 2/22/04 347/222/135 ~ 5'2"
        STAC Restart: 1/05/09
        306/229/135 ~ 5'2" 77 lbs down!

        Goal #1: 247 - 2nd 10% (59lbs, 247, also 100 lbs total loss) - Met 1/4/10!!!
        Goal #2: 241 - Halfway to goal! (106 lbs lost) - Met 2/21/10!!!

        Goal #3: 222 - 3rd 10% - Lowest Atkins weight
        Goal #4: 210 - Still on track!
        Goal #5: 200/199 - 4th 10% - One-derland! End year goal!
Female/Hypothyroidism/Arthritis/Fibromyalgia - If I can lose weight on this, so can you!

Re: Saturday Jan. 23 I am here!

I do have fitday but was having troubles putting recipes that I make into the program because I am not measuring everything. I mean, when i cook, I toss stuff in and basically just throw it all together. I am one who can combine recipes without measuring and I just kind of wing it! LOL I really should measure but I hate measuring more than anything! rofl I need to at least eyeball the measurements I guess. Most of the time I am just so busy you know? I am a mother of 3 kids and a fulltime college student and a lot of times I am fixing two different meals. My husband is away till March and so I have to do it all myself. Anyhow, I feel a whoosh coming soon...I am trying to watch my sodium intake and drink lots of water.
