Ok everybody, what's up?!
Really slow progress here, having to re-evaluate a few foods I have been consuming and their quantities.
Niko, I got that new belt, LOL! Tried on a huge stack of pants when I took a relative out for some clothes shopping... am hovering between sizes as I have been for a month or so now. The smallest pants in the "big" section, which are 44s, fit in the waist but seem a little baggy elsewhere. The biggest pants in most of the "regular" sizes, which are 42s, are tight in the waist but mostly fit ok otherwise. Sigh. What I need, I think, is to lose another inch or two off the waist and then pick up some 42 relaxed or loose fit. Not that I found any the other day, but I know they exist if I looked a little harder. I look SO MUCH SMALLER in the pants NOT from the big section - now if I could only cram my waist into them, it would be all good, LOL! Did pick up a few really nice shirts from the biggest shirts in the "regular" size section... granted they were 2x, but not cut all that much bigger than a regular XL... and they were much more slimming also versus a 2X (sometimes labeled as 2XB) from the big section.
I gotta get more strict on my diet and just shed another 15 pounds or whatever it takes to get out of this grey zone of hovering between regular and big clothes... would solve a lot of my clothing dilemma.
I had added in peanuts to my diet over the last month or so - not tons of them, just a small handful several times a week. Also been eating too much salt, not drinking enough water, and not counting my carbs as religeously as I was before though I *think* I was doing fine... but if you don't count, you never really know for sure. I hate cold weather, and it makes me more lazy, so also have not been exercising with any regularity at all. Fits and starts, not logging them or keeping up. Gotta quit that too.
So it's time to get more meticulous again - I really, really want to get into 42 pants soon! It ISN'T that much smaller than I am now, but because of that shift from big clothes to standard clothes in the cut, it LOOKS tremendously smaller on me when worn. And I really want that - especially heading into spring. Lots of nice short sleeve shirts I want to wear as soon as the weather warms up, and they would look so much better with the next size down in pants to go with them.
How the heck is everyone else doing these days?
Julie, I continue to be impressed with your steady progress by the way. Would that I could manage to do the same, LOL! It will require more of a concentrated effort on my part, but kudos to you for managing it and inspiring others.
