Happy Saturday all -
The scientific side of me won out, and I ended up NOT attacking my current snail's pace weight loss on all fronts at once as I suggested I intended to do the other day. Just couldn't stand not at least narrowing things down a little, so I only worked on a FEW items... carved back the carbs by just a few and cut out peanuts. . . did NOT add back in my supplements, add exercise back in, or any significant amount of water yet (a glass or two extra, but nothing major, especially considering my recent salt intake). . . although I do intend to do those things as well, but decided to do only a couple for just a bit and see what happened.
Well whaddya know, instant change per the ketosticks IN ONE DAY from trace/nothing to small to medium... and dropped two pounds in two days. Hmmm...
Okay, then that means either I have been having just a few too many carbs (cut off about 3 or 4 carbs off my daily total) or the small handful of peanuts is affecting me more than I imagined possible.
Next step, continue this pattern of slightly lower carbs/no peanuts for another couple of days and make sure it isn't just a fluke... then keep the carbs the same (lower) and add back in the handful of peanuts and see what happens. Will probably have to have peanuts a few times over the next week to see what happens each time. Then depending on the results, maybe up the carbs back up sans peanuts and see what happens in THAT scenario.
Honestly, I hope nothing different happens when I add the peanuts back in because I enjoy them. Hopefully it is that I was eating JUST A FEW too many carbs, just enough to push me over the edge into imperceptible weight loss.
We shall find out shortly. I will update on my experiment as I continue testing, LOL!
Hope you all are doing well and have a great weekend planned.
