  • Fat Fast - Trying it

I have not lost lbs or inches since January. I've decided to try the Fat Fast for a few days (3 to 5 days). I realize this is controversial, believe me, I have deliberated over it. But, I am going to try it as I have heard positive feedback. I started yesterday, today is day two.

I will track my results, if anyone is interested.

Yes, please keep us posted. I have lost and gained the same 3 pounds over and over since January. Can't seem to break past my lowest weight.

MotherNature, I will keep close track. I am not going to weigh until I am finished with my fast and a few days back into my normal eating, because I know I will gain a few lbs of the original loss back. I would like to know what kind of net loss I get from fat fast.

Did you see your doc before you did this to be sure you didn't have any of those medical reason Dr Atkins discussed in chapters 15 and 20?

I'd be really interested in hearing about your energy level as you continue doing your normal madatory aerobic and resistanse exercise programs will doing this drastic cut in cals.

Leah, it's a short way of eating for 3-5 days, consisting of high fat and low calories. 1000 cals, approx 90% fat. It is only for the metabollically resistant, dr atkins warns it is dangerous for anyone else.

2big, I will continue to excercise as per usual. I have been to my doctor, I've tried the alternatives and have been tested. All systems are a go. Fat fasting is my last resort

cranberry, do please keep us updated on your progress. and can you give us an example of what your "meals" are?

I ask because I tried the fat fast for 4 days. I had things like, brie, avocado and tuna/mayo, macademia nuts and cafe au lait made from cream and decaf....and it did nothing for me. So I am really interested in your results
