    I got an upper respiratory bug from my kid and wife. Everytime I start my walk I start coughing and it takes me five minutes to get myself set. No walking for me until it is gone

    Hacks me off b/c I have been very diligent to exercising. I have only missed one day since I started and that was when my knee blew out.

    I might try to do a series of five-ten minute walks today. It doesn't seem to really act up until I start breathing heavily.

    You'll be over this soon. Heck, 5-10 minutes will keep you rejuvenated and give you something to do. You have done real well so far and I would not even worry about this minor setback. :wave

      Those pesky bugs can really mess up a routine... but walking isn't necessarily the only thing you can do. You could always take this time to do some arm exercises while sitting down... maybe even some mild resistance training - something that wouldn't aggrevate your breathing.

          the shorter walks are fine foryour exercise but coughing if it is productive is actually good for getting over that bug. Moving aropund to break up kung congestion is the number one thing the docs tell the old forl who get pnemonia or bronchitis
