  • Flying United?

Ok, the trips already been booked and no refunds. :anger That's what happens when people make plans for you.

We're flying United from San Diego, CA to Colorado Springs, CO. I want to know what United is like.. how are the seats? I'm going to be traveling with two small kids so the extra room if needed isn't going to be a problem. I'm just curious what I can expect!

I just flew United from Reno to Baltimore. I don't know how much you weigh...but I weigh close to 300.. with HUGE hips. If the arm rests were down... I was definitely smashed, but if you can get an aisle with only one other person in it, and keep the arm rests up, you should be fine. I was also surprised to find that I fit in the seatbelts. My advise is when you check in, look at all the seat and see if there are any aisle seats open. If anything you have that extra space to lean into the aisle a bit. I hope that helps!!!

I've flown Delta and South West at around 274 and 264. Luckily when I was 274 I had an empty seat next to me. At 264 I had a window seat and was JUST able to keep the armrest down, however, if you are flying with the children (and you can all sit together YOU SHOULD BE FINE. You can put the armrest up and sit next to the smallest child.

        Good luck!
