I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I thought I read somewhere that when we lose weight, are fat cells try to compensate by storing water for some time, and because of this, we tend to "stall" or try to hold on to that weight for a while. So therefore, because our fat cells take up the same amount of space, at times we don't lose inches, and then suddenly we get a woosh and lose the inches and we get a decent sized loss.

I just can't remember where I read it, or the full details of this, but maybe this is the case?

Fat cells do hold on to water..and any time you start exercising..there tends to be a slight weight gain..from the muscles holding on to water...

awww.. i know what you mean, when i was at 220 i stayed there forever, and now im stuck again, (but now its my fault cuz i messed up 2 weeks ago)
maybe you should cut a few cals each day and see if htat helps or watch for any hidden carbs, good luck, and im postive you can get over the 181 mark again and stay under it for good.

ut oh looks likescalenumber phobia is rearing its ugly head in our Laurenfra.

Ourbodies are in a constant state of morphing during our weight loss journey. We are losing fat mass adding muscle mass and water mass is in a constant state of flux. The metal monster can only tell us the effect of the force of gravity upon the total mass pressent not what type of mass it is.

Our bodies especially female one cyclce chemicals that cuase fluids to be reteined and to be released. Our bodies respond to the chemicals in our food like salts or natural diuretic chems like those in many of the veggies we eat and can cause fluid mass changes by many pounds overnight. the amount of fluid being held in your intestines by the soluble fibers you consumed varies too dependent on how much fiber you ate and how fast your tract moves.

SO never let a scale number effect how you look upon your great job working your Atkins to become that healtheir smaller person you want to be,

            Happy low carbing.
