  • How do you reward yourself?

Years ago, when I was doing the diet of the month, I would always when I would lose some weight, I would always reward myself with food. JUNK FOOD, things like chocolate, chips...Sounds really ignorant to me now! Since starting this WOE, I am alot more intune with my body, and my rewards are NEVER food related. I love rewarding myself with a new piece of clothing, nothing expensive (I'm saving that for my next big mini-goal). Just getting into a new piece of garment, at a smaller size is the BEST reward I can get.

I'd be interested in hearing how You reward yourself!!! :yes

i love to go try on new clothes, and then when i think i havent lost all that much, i try on the pants that i used to wear and realize that i have lost weight, and quite a bit too..

I use money. I paid myself $5 a pound and stuck it in its own bank account when I hit 100 pounds gone I used it to by whatever i wanted and then started a new At Goal account and paided me $5 a pound in it.

It's hard finding something that is rewarding and not food...I have 36 years of experience rewarding myself with food. What I am doing now is for every lb I shed I can spend $10. So when I lost my first 20 lbs I purchased jewelry for $200. This can get a bit expensive, so the other way I reward myself is by donating any clothes that are too big to the Salvation Army.

I reward myself with new clothes, like you. I've tried to make them relatively cheap ones, because I've now had to give a lot of them away, having only worn them for a month or two! :joy

I'm absolutely determined never to go up so many sizes again!

I love the idea of putting away $5 for every pound lost! I may just start that now! Depending on how you look at it, I owe myself $395!

My birthday is next month, and my mom has asked me what I want for my birthday, and I've been agonizing over it. I want to go to dinner. Red Lobster, Mmmmmm...... But I can't be trusted. I know there are things on the menu that are appropriate for this WOE, but I know I'll order clam chowder, fried clams, and deviled crab cakes..... So I think I'm going to just ask for a gift certificate for a store or something.

I reward myself by watching silly and mindless television shows while I walk on the treadmill. Right now I'm watching Hercules and Xena while walking since I've pretty much made it through all of Buffy and Angel.

so my idea of reward is mental junk food in the form of television!
