unfortunately, clothing sizes are not universal. you just gotta get what fits. there is a difference between plus sizes and misses sizes. a plus size 18 is way bigger than a misses size 18 for example. No matter what the number says, the important thing is that you're shrinking, which is reason for celebration. :dancing

btw, one time I got 2 pairs of the exact same pants at lane bryant, same color and everything, but both pairs fit totally differently. i had to get 2 different sizes.

A few weeks ago I managed to fit into a pair of size 18 trousers for the first time. Last week I found a really funky purple and yellow coat in the charity shop which almost fits and it's labelled a size 8!!!!! I bought it just so I can tell people I'm wearing size 8 clothes, but no-one seems to believe me for some reason...

            I know!

I know what you mean. I went walmart and tried on a skirt-set and the 18/20 was too big, but the sz 16 fit perfectly????? I could've thrown a party right then and there! Then I tried on a pair of faded glory pant sz 20, and they were very snug. So I tried on a pair of George 20's and they fit perfectly.

I guess it all depends on the design, cut, style, and who makes them.

Yea- i just really wish ALL clothes were sized the same- even if it meant that i went up a size at least i could order from mags or online- or jsut see something and know it fits without having to try it on..oh well, at least the sizes are going down- even if i wear a couple of different sizes..

I know I have been wearing 14's for a while but bought a dress for mothersday that was a 16 cause it just fit nicer.

It Matters not Stefanie your doing an awesome job.

Sizes now adays are just so crazy. It definitely depends on the make/brand. I can't wait to be a size 13/14/15! LOL
