  • wow!!! when thinking of falling off the wagon...

Just think of me coming here...a year after the day I joined...seeing so many familiar faces, and so many new....and noticing many missing..

I have lost not one pound now...did lose 30, but stress..blah blah blah how my excuses enable me to continue being fat!

Anyway, I am so amazed...people have lost over 100 pounds in that time, and others still hanging in and moving forward, I am sitting here thinking of what I could have looked like right now, how much healthier I could be...how much happier I would be for more skin baring clothing, you guys are great, and keep it up!!!!!!!!! you don't want to show back up a year later and realize that in a year you lost a lot, but it surely wasn't weight.

I think the first mistake is to stop coming here..even when you fall off the wagon, I just stopped coming, however just looking at all of you and reading what you are doing and have to say is so inspiring that it actually pushed "i think i'll go get a big mac" thoughts out of my head! lol Keep up the great work everyone, I'm proud of you all!

    highest weight 360lbs
    started atkins 315lbs
    current weight 295lbs
    first mini goal 275
    second goal 250

    Induction started Sept 30/09

Going to succeed, one day at a time!!!!!!!

I remember you. And you're right. The one thing I did that didn't let me blow all I accomplished was to keep coming here. I basically haven't lost anything in 9 months, but I haven't gained anything either. And that by itself is huge.

Do I wish that I had been better and stayed on plan and been 50 lbs or more lighter? Sure I do, but I have no regrets and what would've been worse? Me boring people with my struggles, or me coming back today 50 pounds heavier? Or worse?

Good job pushing that Big Mac out of your mind, and get back on board. Don't come back again next year saying, "Why didn't I?"

      Good luck.
      Jim

Just4me.....I lost 89 pounds last year and lost my motivation in February and just stopped losing, but I continued coming to the board every day to keep me from completely falling off the wagon. While I have not lost anything since February, I have maintained my weight. That is a huge accomplishment for me and the first time in my life I have been able to do that. Even if I never lose another pound I am a winner and I have this board and all my friends here to thank for that. All the people at ADBB are here for you whether you are losing, gaining, or just maintaining. The support is tremendous.

Welcome back! So what dropped you off last year? Got a handle on it? You know so many here can help by offering support. Don't let those little slips stop you from coming and checking in. The big thing to keep telling yourself is that this is a Way Of Life, not a short term thing especially for all the folks here in the Century Club. We're in it for the long haul...to get healthier. Stick with us!

Welcome back!!! It is always the best when our vacationing family members return home to us. Getting back on board is what defines us not what the numbers of the scale read for the moment. Very glad to have back amongst us.

This Board does help SOOOO much. I experienced the same thing. When I finally got a computer again, I was finally able to get back into doing the diet, because of all of those here still fighting the good fight, and taking time to help falling friends back up! Thank you! :hug

I've hit that stasis period, too, gaining and losing the same 5 lbs for a couple months now. I'm not exercising or drinking water, so I know what the problem is. There's no way I would be able to hang on without all the support here.

Welcome back and let's all get motivated :icondance :icondance
