Just want to introduce myself since I'll be hanging out. I will be turning 30 in December and am beginning to get a little stressed bc I don't want to be 30 and fat! I am a working mother with a stressful job. I have struggled with my weight since I was born. As a child I lost a significant amount of weight and stayed at a healthy spot until I was about 16. At that point I stopped playing sports and started working at a pizza shop and along came the pounds! I met my husband in 1992 and since then I have gained about 170 lbs! I'd like to lose weight to improve my health and my outlook on life. I know people treat me differently because I am heavy. People don't see the person they see the body. I presently weigh about 325 and would like to some day get to about 150. I am now educating myself on Atkins and hope to apply it to my life. I am impressed with this board and with your stories. I hope to someday be able to inspire someone in the way that you have all inspired me. Thanks for letting me join you.
