  • I just don't feel welcome here =(.

I posted the other day and I was shocked. Only 1 reply and I surely didn't feel welcome like you all have welcomed others in recent posts. This board use to be movitating, what happened? When I quit smoking I couldn't have done it without the help of the forums, and we all supported each other tremendously. Maybe I am on the wrong board.

Joy welcome kiddo! Congrats on quitting smoking.

You've hopped in at what might be a busy time for some (I know it's a frantic pace for me with kids soccer, orchestra recitals, dance recitals, visitors from out of town and the like)...

Give us a minute, we will all show up. You are definately in the right place to get the kudos and support you need. You just have to ask!

Welcome to ha! Glad you're journeying with us.

Well I'll apologize on behalf of everyone here. and Welcome to the Board!

The people here are very welcoming, supportive, and encouraging. All I can think is maybe your post got lost in the shuffle (things like that do happen).

Don't worry everyone is more than welcome here and we are all here to support you (an everyone else) in their weightloss journey.

Now off I go to find your other post!

Welcome Joy, so very very sorry! Usually if I see a new post, I jump in to say hi, but somedays, there are so many new posts, I don't get a chance to visit them all....so I'm sure it was an accident on everyone's part. You're very welcome here, and we all want to support our new friends. Congrats on your big success on quitting smoking! :hug

WELCOME JOY :wave :wave :wave :wave !!!!

We are a board that cares... it's just sometimes, if it's the weekend, or you write in during a quiet or busy time, you may not get a reply straight away. It happens... just post again. Often I find when I write on a weekend, by the time Monday morning comes by and all the new posts come rushing in, then my post gets pushed back.

Please keep writing, there is always someone who wants to talk to you - it may not be straight away, but it does happen!

IU don't post here so much but it broke my heart to see that you thought that you weren't welcome.. I am sorry that you feel that way. Sometime my posts don't get answered either and it's not that we are trying to be mean it's that there are sooo many posting sometimes the posts really do get lost and quickly especially on the weekend when a lot post and most are away from the board.

Thanks, I just didn't know what happened lol.

To MistyDawn1973: Smoking is harder to quit than Heroin, but if you can do that you can do ANYTHING else. Check out www.whyquit.com and that was my encouragement on a daily basis and I still have it bookmarked as my homepage to remind me of WHY I quit smoking. I did gain 32 pounds when I quit, but I chose to eat those things when I craved a cig. However, my husband lost 46 pounds when he quit because he did not want to be another number in the "I quit smoking and gained weight chart" lol. You can do it and when your ready I have a FABALOUS message board for you to visit. I have kicked ASH now for 5 months and I feel great.

                  Again thanks y'all.
