Welcome aboard Joy! You're in the right place, everyone here is encouraging and helpful, sometimes one just gets lost in the shuffle, when there are so many posts, and little time to respond. Congrats on stopping to smoke, I am an ex-smoker, 22 years since I've quit,so I know what your going through. Lotsa luck on losing weight, this is a great WOE. :wave

Well hon, your post probably got buried somehow, but don't let it get you down. There are a great group of people here who are very supportive.

I usually try to welcome everyone also, but I've been megabusy lately. I sure hope to see you around!

            Hi Joy~

I've been on this board for over a year, and I have to say that of all the boards I've ever visited, this is the friendliest and has made me feel the most comfortable. That's huge for me, since I'm a recovering shy person, and I've never felt comfortable on boards for some reason.

This board (like other boards, I'm sure) seems to have a natural ebb and flow to it. Some months it seems like everyone posts a thousand times a day. At other times, it's so quiet that you can practically hear the crickets. As I've read in other posts, and experienced in my own life, it seems that a lot of people have crises or major events going on in their lives right now, or they are super super busy. Throw in the fact that a lot of the Admin folk are off building a new board for us, and you'll understand why the welcome wagon wasn't as robust as it usually is.

You are completely and totally welcome here!!! We want to hear your triumphs and do a happy dance with you. We want to send hugs when life gets tough. You're in the family, and family takes care of each other!!

            ~JoAnne

I hope you feel more welcome now :hug
If you ever feel your questions have been ignored and have disappeared off the first few pages and you havent got an answer to your question then you can always 'bump' it to get it at the top of the posts again.
As others have said - sometimes it just happens that posts get overlooked :sadblinky

Give me time and I'll love you too.
