First, I gotta say:
Kent's wearing spandex!!! Kent's wearing SPANDEX!!! Kent looks good in spandex!!!
Okay...I feel better now. Seriously, Kent, you look SOOOO good!!!
As I mentioned in another post, life has been wild in the past month, with the past two weeks being even wilder. It seems like stuff is going on in every major area in my life. Here are a few:
~My deadbeat ex-husband made a move which inadvertenly caused my son and I to receive several thousand dollars. (If he'd known, he probably wouldn't have done it!!) For a single parent who is raising a child on a tight budget without help, it was like winning the lottery. I was able to pay off some bills, put some money away for my son's college, and I bought us a new Dell computer. I also put a down payment on a really good 2002 car, which came with tons of warranties. The peace of mind that comes with having a nice and reliable car is just priceless!!!
~Some of you may remember my BF, the Army Intelligence guy who's stationed at a secret locale....who I hadn't heard from in many months? Well, I FINALLY heard from him, but it was very VERY strange. It was....er...very polite, almost distant, and very platonic. He hasn't yet responded to my "what's going on" email. Meanwhile, a long-lost love has come back into my life. First, just as a friend, but when we went down memory lane we realized that some of the old feelings are still there. Back then, both of us were trapped in bad marriages, but now we're both single, although I've got the Army boyfriend situation going on. So now I'm trying to figure out my love life. The long-lost-love and I are meeting in Phoenix next week (he lives out of state right now) to try and sort things out for once and for all.
~At work, a co-worker has transferred out of my division, which means I have to work more to help pick up the slack. This will continue for several more weeks at least...
~Then......a new neighbor moved into the apartment in back of me. This old woman (who my mom has nicknamed "The Hag") doesn't have a car, but lets her friends and kids park in MY parking space, even though she knows full well that all parking spaces are reserved. She and I have gotten into it a few times. I finally brought the manager into the disagreement. Now "The Hag" is staying out of my space (and using other people's spaces!) but now she's soooo sicky sweet to me it just makes me wanna barf. Every time I see her she tries to stop me and tell me her life story. Forgive me for being rude, but I just want her to leave me and my parking space alone!!
~Oh...and on the Atkins front, I haven't lost anything in the past few weeks, but other than power shopping at outlet malls in Phoenix I haven't been exercising. I consider staying put as a victory.
I think this concludes my rambling for the evening. Wow...you're still here!??? You're brave!!!! Thanks for listening.
