A tip for the Uk atkineers..... JANUARY CAN BE A VERY LONG MONTH

Now the following may be obvious, and you may have all tried it. But please humour me

I am drastically running out of money this month, and also of meat in my freezer. I went to Safeway last night, 30 minutes before they closed and bought a shed load of meat which goes out of date today. Got home and stuck it all in the freezer

6 Packets of Minced Beef £5.94 (Total)
2 Large Lamb Chops £2.50
6 Pork Loins £3.20
2 Scottish Salmon Steaks £0.40p
35 (Atkins Friendly after looking at the ingredients) Sausages £ 3.11p
1 Rottisserie Chicken £1.00
a pack of smoked mackerell £0.50p

They also had joints of meat and packs of steak at vastly reduced prices.

What an absolute bargain........

just what kind of sausages were those?? have never found any legal ones...

Do you have a local Safeway to you???????

I found some polish sausages last night, with 3.8 carbs per 100 grams. These are edible cold and are in the section with the mattesons sausages and pepperamis.

I can see that it doesn't matter where you are, we all look for those bargains. I do know what it means to have to make the money stretch and then stretch some more.
