  • Shrove Tuesday - Pancakes.

    Hello all fellow uk people.

Obviously today is shrove tuesday. Any of you having pancakes tonight????

Just incase your not familiar with the "Faux Pancakes" recipe -

    3 Large eggs
3 Tablespoons of Cream cheese (Philadelphia for example)
    a pinch of nutmeg
    a pinch of cinnamon.

Whisk all together and it gives you a batter completely induction friendly...... then cook the same as you would normally. THey are lovely with a little splenda sprinkled over them

Just a little not say thank you for the recipe

I had them with splenda & lemon juice and they tasted exactly the same as an ordinary pancake. Completely delicious.

So nice in fact that i'm gonna have them on another day as well!!!!

    So thanx.

yiouy can do flaxmeal pan cakes too
        1/4 cup flax meal
1T oil of choice I use EVOO
        1 egg
        1T cream
        1T sour cream
1t baking powder ( you can make lower carb by using 1/2t cream of tartar ansd 1/4 t baking soda if you want )

mix it up and let it sit about 5 min them make 4 puddles in a greased frying pan preheated on low cover and cook about 4 min a side.

Very filling and if you are using flax for fiber as part of your induction you should be able to handle a copuple of those as your fiber. you can add canned pumpkin and pie spice ofr a great treat

              Hohoho! Happy Shrove Tuesday UK-ers!

I was happy to stumble upon this "pancake" recipe. DH's been climbing the walls for a substitute! Brilliant!
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

                  Re: Shrove Tuesday - Pancakes.

I tried your recipe, Rich and they were great with lemon and a sprinkle of splenda!

My DH prefers the 'scotch pancake' type rather than the 'crepe-style' ones so for him I added some ground almonds and baking powder, which he loved and had with some sugarfree pancake syrup.
