  • uk Food What? Where?

Hi i am just starting but am confused about the heavy cream we can use. I have been getting that jersey cream as It doesnt seem to say sugar is in it. Is this the heavy cream we can use is there any other as some have sugar in them. Is jello the same as the sugar free jelly powdered packets?

I am going to try the prescribed 2 week one (tell you what menu to follow has anyone else follwed this has it gone well.

Is there any where to get bacon ans sausages which are okay to use?

some advice would be great as not sure about some of ingredients. (names of stores would be great)

    thanks Angela

    Hi Angela.

The best place I have found for sausages is Tesco. They sell "Tesco Luxury Sausages" which are very low in Carbs. They are quite expensive - at £1.99 for 6 but very low. You can also have those matteson smoked sausages which can be found in any supermarket.

Yes the sugar free jelly are those packets of granules.

For cream I tend to use just normal double cream. Be it Elm lea or safeway own.

    Good Luck

Any further questions please feel free to ask. I have been doing Atkins since November 2003.

      Hi Angela.
Heavy cream in the USA is whipping cream. It looks just like British double cream and also like British whipping cream before its whipped.
I think either of these would be fine, but thats just a guess.

      Im from Leeds originally!!
