      Lorna,

I live in the UK as well, Greater London.

Perhaps we should start listing Lo-Carb foods here for the benefit of those of us who are living in the UK and these type foods are not as easily accessible to us as those who are in the States?

        Hmmm

Im going to be a real misery now and say

        DON'T EAT THE FRANKENFOODS ......

Its just junk with a 'low-carb' label on it.

          Bambina is right.

Eating these will only "spark up" your tastes buds again. If anyone is interested, I have find the following recipe makes a fantastic chocolate substitute - and it is atkins legal!
          sigpic260/215/180 Male - 36 y/o

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Its not a chocolate substitute - but its better than buying chocolate bars.

              7oz of Cream Cheese
              1/4 pint of double cream
1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
              4 teaspoons of Splenda

Whisk the cheese with cream until runny. Dissolve the cocoa powder with a little boiling water and leave to cool, add Splenda to cocoa. When cool mix in with the cheese and cream.

Poor into 6 separate bowls and chill until set.

Each portion has 270 calories but only 2 grams of Carbs.

              They are lovely.

I hope some people enjoy them

I cant remember if it is induction legal or not, but I am fairly sure it is!

The carb count is 2g per serving - that whole recipe would be 12grams of carbs

There is nothing in there that isn't Induction legal. More than a daily allotement of cream cheese and there is almost 4 ounces of cream which is over a day's limit too. Spread the servings out over a couple of days and it's fine for Induction. If you have portion control try cutting the recipe in half.

                          Thanks Kitty kat!

Is it true that France shuts down for hours everday for lunch and then return in the late afternoon?

Haven't made it over there yet...

Yeah, many stores will close up from around 12:30 to 2 and many businesses for a full two hours. Gives time for a lazy lunch with co-workers or meeting friends. Larger stores stay open so it also gives time to get in some shopping too.

Nonworking mothers like it because it gives them time to take the kids back and forth to school and still have a nice lunch at home.

We also have a 35 hour work week :icondance
