    Mudslide in the Philippines

    This board has many friends and family in the Philippines and our hearts and prayers are going out to them in this time of disaster.
    Robbie, if there is anything we can do, just let us know. All this world needs is yet another horrible disaster.

    have all our members been accounted for? I saw pics on the news of the recovery of trapped folk and the vast area of just brown mud contrasted witht he dark green at the edges. The vast area and timing of the slide was horrible. Prayers for all.

        Thanks for the prayers everyone.

        The tragedy happened in Leyte, which is quite far from where I live. Leyte is known for being the hometown of Imelda Marcos and as the historic landing site of Gen. Douglas MacArthur.

        Tragedies like this happen quite often in Leyte mainly gue to flash floods resulting from the denudation of forests in the area.
