We won a GOLD MEDAL today!!!! Go JAMAICA!!! :icondance :icondance :icondance

Ok so I had to stick this in somewhere. After all we are a very tiny island competing with some huge countries. I feel really proud!! :icondance Maybe if I lose the last 20lbs I'll train and compete in some exotic event like "coconut tree climb" or "hammock swing". :yikes

Congrats to ALL fellow international atkineers and their olympic teams!!!

Congratulations, Israel also won their first Gold Medal. I think I'll join you in the hammock swing, but coconut tree climb will have to wait til later.

    41 pounds down and counting

CONGRATS both of you! Serbi and Montenegro still don't have any, and probably won't since basketball and volleyball failed us : (( So,the only thing we could hope for now is waterpolo!
And Sharni, as for the Jamaican team, I would give you a gold medal for puma's relay team comercials I love them lol! Tell me are all the "relay team members" in them real athleets or just actors (I assumed athleets, but wanna be sure)

mini goal 2: 158 - this is where my BMI starts being normal

GOAL 1: 145 - this is the weight I will be happy with! Then, I'll take it slowly from there...
GOAL 2: 130ish? I first set my goal at 118, but realized it might be just a bit low...

Yeah Looney, we bet you in the basketball - nearly fell off my chair watching that game!! Good luck for the waterpolo

Sharni - that race was just awesome to watch, you must be so proud. I love watching underdog countries win. Same thing happened to New Zealand last night, we got gold and silver in the triathalon. Only have a population of 4million here (about 12 million sheep tho)

Hey Looony, sometimes it is all about being there. They showed some short clips on Serbia and Montenegro and my Hubby said it looked so pretty. So you may not have won a medal but it is good PR for your country. Strange but I have not seen the Puma ads!!!?? But, I am hoping that our relay team WILL pull out all the stops for the 4x100 womens. We made it to the finals. :icondance

Loonatika - congrats on your wins!!! Bet all the sheep were a bleating. Actually I think I heard them from way over here!!! Maybe they need a special Olympic event for you guys and your sheep!! ensive

OMG !!!! It is TOO much for my heart!!!! What a race!!! :icondance :icondance :icondance

Loooney I saw the match as a re-run because I was at work and did not see it live BUT that did not diminish the thrill!! It was a fantastic race.
Congrats on making it to the finals!! I'll try and see it and cheer for your team!!!

I also loved the Chinese fellow's win in the 110 hurdles. I love when the non-traditional guys win. :icondance

My only regret is that the games will be over soon. :no BOO HOO
