  • Singapore question

I was wondering if they have kotostix of any sort anywhere? Probly not because of them being so stict with everything, just thought I'd ask.
Can I order them online, or will they get stuck in customs?
Having them helps me monitor foods that I am sensative to, and keep on track on a daily basis during induction too.
    Thanks!

    hey pbutter,
i doubt they sell ketostix in sg.
maybe you have to buy it from the overseas, which is gonna cost you a bomb, perhaps.

    good luck!

Try asking your local pharmacy. That's where I get mine. I don't know if you will be able to buy them in Singapore at the pharmacy, but I am sure they are available. In case you can't find them, you may want to ask your doctor if there is any way that you could get them prescribed to you.

      Good luck!

They don't sell ketostix in Singapore, but I found another LTS which is similar. It's called Gluketur-Test by Accuchek. This one tests for both ketones and glucose levels.

It's sold in most pharmacies. It costs $11.95 for 50 sticks at NTUC's Unity Pharmacy.

Just letting you know, I found some sticks to use, at the NTUC pharmacy. They test Ketones and glucose. Kindof expensive, but helpful aftger induction when trying to figure out trigger foods ect. Thanks for the help!

I am starting over after a time of binging. Blah! Feeling tons better and pumped to do well, almost at a week already! It's quite easy to do here with the abundance of fresh veggies, and awesome spices! MMMMMM :nod

What might I find in singapore restaurants. I will be there for a couple of weeks and will be eating 3 meals a day in restaurants.

Can I stay away from starches pretty easy? Are eggs and meat common for breakfast?

It depends on where you go.
I eat at home primarily so am not sure 100 %. But I think anywhere you go you can get meat of some sort.
At the hotels they usually have a pretty wide range in the buffet. Fish and such, and also the traditional american stuff.
Obviosly, rice is the staple. But there are alot of restaraunts that cater to the american quisine also. I have only been here 3 mo. and am a Stay at home mom, so my chances to eat out are rare, sorry. I am sure you will do fine though. The veggies here are fantastic! Good luck!
