I use Hellmann's full fat. It does contain 0.2g of sugar per tablespoon but most mayo does. We had a discussion on it here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...0581-mayo.html There's a link to an online shop that sell organic sugar free mayo. The price is very reasonable. I haven't got around to ordering from them yet. I make my own salad dressing with olive oil, white wine vinegar and herbs.

      Re: Uk 2009

I was not able to get hold of the sugarfree mayo mentioned earlier in this thread locally but have found another website offering it!

Tracklements UK - Speciality Chutneys, Mustards and Preserves

They list the ingredients of all their products online and have mayo, a horseradish sauce and tartare sauce concentrate made without sugar!!

Postage is £4.95 for up to 19 jars, but spread out between a few jars would not up the cost too much I think.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

        Hi all!

Just nipping in to report a delightful discovery –*unless you've already discovered it, then let's cheer together –*M&S diet sodas are all sweetened with sucralose (sans aceK) and have .5 carbs per 500 ml ("lunch deal") bottle!

I live in Ireland and there's a fair few UK brands here, but would have to drive aalllll the way up north for Sainsbury's or Waitrose. Have been dying for something sweet –*finally got it!

Thanks for that, I'm going to get my OH to look out for it when he next visits Marks & Sparks. Brilliant!

I picked some up in my local Tescos. Its Virginia Harvest, cold-milled flaxseed i think it was £2.99 for 175g pack.

Hi Guys, I am also a Brit (Surrey).
I also like the Tracklements horseradish etc. I can buy it in my local farm shop.
Waitrose sugar free bitter lemon is sweetened with sucralose. I need to order a bottle of their tonic to see if it's the same - I'll report back!

                    Re: Uk 2009

My OH went to Marks & Sparks for the diet lemonade. It's really nice, not too sweet and no nasty after taste. It's great to know I can have a drink when I fancy one after going down a bad road with Coke Zero.

I also ordered the flax seed cafe_et_creme mentioned from Tesco. I'm not sure what to do with it but will see when it arrives later today. I'm wondering if I could use it as a coating for spicy fried chicken as I fancy doing something different other than roasting or stewing my chicken.
I've seen an induction friendly recipe for flax seed bread floating around somewhere.

Good stuff, Ammie –*let me know how you get on with the flaxseed... I may pick some up if it's a winner!
THe M&S soda is a real lifesaver as well, it's the little sweet taste we need to keep going!

                          Re: Uk 2009

here is the recepie; i just copied it from another post

                          Muffin in a Minute

                          allowed on Induction

                          Serving Size: 1

1/4 cup flax meal (8.09 total carbs, 7.6 fiber)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder (0.64 net carbs)
1 packet splenda packet (0.9 net carbs)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (1.84 total carbs, 1.2 fiber)
1 large egg (0.6 net carbs)
                          1 teaspoon butter

(total carbs is 12.07, fiber is 8.8; net carbs is 3.27)

Put the dry ingredients in a coffee mug.

                          Stir.

Then add the egg and the butter. Mix.

Microwave 1 minute (or more). Take out. slice, butter, eat.

Cream cheese would go nicely, too.

The shape of this can be changed by making it in a bowl.

It can be "toasted" once it's cooked.

The cinnamon can be replaced. I would imagine that any sugar free syrup could be added.

Some people count the flax as a carb/fiber wash, so then the net carbs would be 2.78.

                                Re: Uk 2009

While queuing to pay for some mushrooms yesterday I noticed that the Tesco Express near us has some diet drinks that are sucralose sweetened - even some without caffeine too! However do remember that drinkign these would use up your 'up to 3 servings' of swetener quickly, as 8 fluid ounces of a drink counts as one serving

Also do be careful with the flax/linseed muffins on induction. Our 'limit' for induction use of flax is supposed to be one tablespoon to prevent constipation, so you would need to split the muffin recipe in four to stay within that limit. Maybe make it in 4 muffin cups instead of a big mug so you coukld eat one a day?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
