You can do it! Clean it up! When you are tempted, ask yourself what you want more...that one bite, or your health and weightloss. Even one bite of something can trigger cravings and cause a spike in your blood sugar. You know those little bites and cheats aren't going to help you in the long run, so stay away from them!

Go grab a piece of cheese instead!

I have had the same problem. I started this WOE last May. I have had a lot of success in the past with Atkins, but have fallen off the wagon and gained it all back plus more. From May-December I lost 40 pounds! However, since January I too have been doing good for a couple days and then cheating. I have fluctuated between the 30 and 40 pound weightloss mark, but haven't lost anymore due to my cheating. I now look back and think, :no in 6 months, I have managed to lose NOTHING and I am so upset with myself, as I could have been near goal if I had stuck to it. I dont know how to motivate myself to stick to it. :help

Hang in there Jaria! You have had such great success so far! We can all do this, just keep getting back up on the wagon. Come chat with us when you feel the stress of not being able to eat what everyone else seems to be eating when we cannot have it!

Maybe I'm obssessive, but what REALLY works for me is keeping this board on my desktop and checking in several times a day. More, even, if I'm at home.

Just reading the posts revives my motivation and makes me remember why I am on this woe. Posting back reaffirms my commitment not to cheat and to stay on course.

WE CAN DO IT! WE DID IT BEFORE, DIDN"T WE?

Well, so far so good. I started eating lunch at my aunt's house, so she makes me everything Atkin's friendly and I save some money (I work in a very pricey area to dine in). My job is torture because they make fresh cookies and buy cake, pizza, donuts, etc every friggin day of the week. Right now the air smells of chocolate :yikes . Anyhow, I have stayed strong all week. I said NO MORE CHEATING. When I realized 6 months had been wasted on small cheats and no loss, I wanted to slap myself. I actually had gained 8 pounds back, bringing me back to 231, but today I weighed myself and I'm down to 226! ha I also joined LA Fitness and have been working out 5-6 days a week. I am just now getting over the pesky Atkin's flu and starting to feel that burst of energy that I had before I started cheating. Hopefully, this will kick start me and help me lose the 27 pounds I need for my mini ONEDERLAND goal! :joy

YAY! Sounds like maybe you're getting over that initial hurdle we have all experienced!

Keep checking in to the board - it really works!

definitely. I also am going to be seeing a friend that I havent seen in quite some time soon, so it's giving me that extra nudge to look hot! :nod I've been having crazy sweet cravings, which is odd for me...so I might have to make that ziplock ice cream. Is that cool for induction?

Yeah, it is, in very limited quantities.

Here are some of my sweet treats:

                      1. Chill a can of diet rite soda (I like raspberry). Add a dash of heavy cream.

                      2. Cheesecake pudding (equal amounts of sour cream and cream cheese blended, add vanilla and sweetener to taste.

                      3. Jello blended before you set it with a block of cream cheese.

                      4. Fried jicama - fry slices in butter, add sweetener and cinamon - tastes like fried apples!

                      5. There's a recipe for a mocha slushie on the Atkins.com board that is absolutely YUMMY!

                          struggling

I know that struggle well with the carb/sugar demon and when I give in just a little bit, it turns into a binge! :thumbsdo: I agree that visiting this site give me encouragement and I try to think will this bite bring me closer to my goal? :sarcasm Of course there are times that I haven't thought that and I just get back on that horse. You have to give yourself props for basically maintaining your weight loss efforts. Atkins is a lifestyle change not a crash diet. My mother has celiac (don't know spelling) disease and she can't eat breads and pasta. I think of my binge reaction as a disease as some call it a carb addict. Like alcoholics I can't have just one! Although there are times I try! :speechle:

                          Sorry if I rambled!

That Mocha Slushie sounds awesome: This is it...

                            Frozen Mocha Slushie

A perfect warm-weather treat, this refreshing, frothy drink is a delightful blend of coffee and chocolate flavors.

1/2 cup chilled extra-strong decaffeinated coffee
3 tablespoons sugar free chocolate syrup
                            2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
                            2 teaspoons granular sugar substitute
                            1/2 cup heavy cream
                            12 to 14 ice cubes

1.In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat coffee, chocolate syrup and cocoa powder. Stir until cocoa is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Cool slightly.
2.Transfer to a blender. Add sugar substitute and cream; blend until combined. Add ice cubes in batches; blend until frothy.

Carbs 5.5 grams Net carbs 4 grams

1/2 cup of whipping cream sounds like alot, maybe I will cut that in half. I know its only 3. something carbs for 1/2 cup, but 400 plus calories too, yikes!
