  • How's everyone's Monday going?

Slooooow here. Still doing okay though. Especially proud of myself for keeping up with the exercise and drinking more water.

What's different for you this second time around? What makes you stronger? What points are stronger for you this time (exercise, water intake, cheat-free, etc)?

This second time around, I have a 19mo old son that I need to get strong and healthy for so that I can run and play with him, I need to get strong and healthy for myself, as I am absolutely miserable at the weight I am carrying and I want to be healthy so that we can have a second baby in the future. This definitely keeps me from giving up (not screwing up, I'm only human :anger ) My strong points this time around have definitely been keeping with the exercise and working to get more water.

Just curious to know what keeps everyone going!

Hope everyone has a great day! :wave

Going fine here! I've been doing yoga plus I have a mini-farm with lots of physical chores to keep me going. I feel like I'm reborn since I have no desire to cheat. Climbing the carb ladder as soon as it was allowed is what I personally need to succeed on Atkins. Up to fruit and still in ketosis. My issue is trying to get all my allowed carbs. I know I'm not required to eat the max allowed, but I want to find my CCLL so I'm going for the max. I should be easy, but with all of the fiber my net carbs are tough to increase.

My Monday is going okay considering today is day 1/2. Meaning it should be day 1 but I reduced it to day 1/2 because I had cantelope today which is technically not allowed. However, I know that I will not be going over my 20g limit so I am doing induction 1/2 way right. So tomorrow will be day 1 1/2 and so on... sounds ridiculous but I missed breakfast and cantelope was the first thing I had access to upon arriving to work. Please give me a little credit as I did pass up the donuts.

Today is going okay. TOM recently paid me a visit so yesterday was full of sugar cravings. But I got through it without cheating so I'm proud of myself and I was still down another pound this morning so no complaints here! I agree with Checkers that climbing the carb ladder and not doing an extended induction like I did before is going to make a world of difference for me this time. Adding in more foods is what is going to keep me from getting bored as I did before. Joining ADBB this time around has definitely helped me a lot already because I can come here for support and inspiration (and a swift kick when I need it!). My motivation is simply becoming a happier, healthier me!

Going great - feeling very positive. :joy

I have made a morning ritual of a "luxurious" breakfast (as Dr.Atknis would say) and it has really helped me NOT HATE the morning routine.

I am not weighing, but I can tell I have lost by my car wheel .

Great job everyone! Keep up the good work. Its so good to hear all of your responses and experiences - its supportive in keeping me going :yes Hope it helps you as well!

If anyone is having trouble in the induction phase, I just read a wonderful post in the low carb but not atkins forum re: different approaches that people are using. I definitely don't want to have people skipping out on atkins because I know that it is a program that works, but some of the information given by other adbb members was really great on how they made the change to this woe.
