  • Tuesday exercise

Ok, everybody, since we had the thread about having a hard time exercising yesterday I thought I'd start another today. How did everybody do yesterday? I went to Curves after work like I said. And if I hadn't promised to do it here, I probably wouldn't have gone.

What are you going to do today? I'm not going to be as specific today because I'm a little crunched for time. If I have time, I'll go to Curves. If not, I will take a 30 minute walk. But I will do something! I PROMISE. See, now I have to do it.

By the way, I just want to say I really like this forum. I'm going out of town in the morning and won't have internet access, so I'm not awol. I hope you all keep it up while I'm gone and exercise, exercise, exercise! I got a travel pass from Curves, so hopefully I will be good and go while I am gone. I will check back in on Tuesday.

Nikki, how do you like curves?

Well, yesterday I didn't get to do my WATP tape, but I did boogie through the grocery store, pushed people out of the way, etc. Gotta love shopping at Meijer :raving. I also had some cleaning at home to do. So, not major exercise as some think of it, but I certainly was not sitting in front of the TV eating bon bons :yikes

For today, I plan to take a nice strenous, no less than 30 minute walk.

    Good luck to all!

I really like Curves when I go...I just don't go enough! Its all women like us...there aren't your intimidating barbie dolls that you run into at your typical gym. The workout just flies by for me, so its easy once I get there. Its just getting me in the car and actually going there that is the hard part.

Thanks for the reply. I've been considering checking it out. My biggest concerns right now have been time (work full time and have a man and a 19 mo old waiting at home from me) and money. But, it seems interesting and unintimidating. :wave

Are Sarah and I the only ones exercising today? Or does nobody else need help or motivation?

Spent all day chasing my 2yr old around the Jacksonville Zoo. I think I got a little workout there :yes

I'm going to take tomorrow off to recouperate and plan on exercising on Thursday morning. I'm going to make it a habit to work out every other day, but I have to take baby steps. I have Fibromyalgia and so exercise can do more damage than good sometimes. Wish me luck!

Wishing you luck Erica! I'm sure you got three days worth (at least) of exercise chasing a 2 year old around. Hope you had a wonderful time! My son is 19 months old now. I cannot wait to take him to the zoo this year. He is so in to seeing animals. Right now everything seems to be called a "dog". How did your 2 year old enjoy the zoo?

Thanks Sarah My entire body aches this morning, I think my aches even have aches! Before I got out of bed I started thinking "hey i might workout this morning anyway..." Um, no, not gonna happen!

Isn't this a great age for our kids? Everything is new and exciting for them. You get to show them stuff for the first time... really neat. I think your son will love the zoo. Try to take him to a petting zoo if you can (and if it wouldnt scare him). My son had a good time but he was really sleepy and it was SOOO humid. I thnk he had a hard time seeing some of the animals in the exibit because they were'nt close up where he could spot them. He really likes the snakes though, so we stayed in the snake exhibit for a long time.

With 2 little ones it's hard to go places so I was really happy we were able to go. We had a good time and I think my son really enjoyed it too.

That's great Erica. Glad to hear you had such a wonderful time. I'll definitely check out the petting zoo. I think we have one pretty close to our house even. He's pretty adventurous, so I don't think he'll be scared. Thanks for info. :wave
