It started out harder for me back in Jan/Feb... now it's going pretty good. Part of that is I'm getting near the weight I "ended" (went off the wagon) at and as soon as I hit 223, everything below that will be newly lost weight again. I'm excited for that to happen because I can't recall the last time in 20 years I was below 220.Originally posted by maribelleAnyone else having a harder time this time around?Female/45/5'5

It's been much harder.
This has just been so difficult the second time around because in the back of my mind, I know just how very easy it was for me the first time. I started Atkins the first time right before my 21st birthday and was able to go from 315 to 230 in a time span of August to roughly the start of December. At 230, I had a 36 inch waste, ran 4 miles a day, and lifted weights on a regular basis. It became so easy, I could lose up to 5 lbs a day if I just trained hard enough.
When you have so much success the first time with Atkins, you always have the though lingering in your mind that you can cheat now because you know later that you will be able to easily take the weight off.... That is the routine that got me back up and over to 330!!!!! I can't tell you how much more difficult it has been both physically and psychologically to start again. I'm so out of shape at this point, I can barely walk around without getting tired. Looking back 2 years ago, I can't believe I let that go due to zero exercise, fast food, and all-nighters in the lab.Work-in-progress:

Glad to see everyone is still around! I was starting to get nervous :yikes. Thought I was left all alone. LOL.
This time around has been much harder for me. Just hang in there and take it one day at a time. We can do this. We've done it before, right?

Here! I've got family in town so I've had some time to read the posts but not enough time to say hi...
I've gotta tell ya', I'm pretty amazed at how strong I've been this week. I haven't cheated once and that's saying something considering how much opportunity I've had! Though Ihaven't exercised like i had planned. the weather in Georgia is very muggy and rainy right now and that always makes my joints hurt too much to do anything. Despite no exercise i can tell I'm losing wieght, my baby-tummy is shrinking!
I AM NOT going to weigh myself though until JULY 1st! :nono I have always gotten upset and screwed up after wieghing myself after a few days of induction 'cause it seems like alot of work and no results. I read about the "WHOOSHIE" effect though and I feel encouraged that I will see results if I have a little patience.
Hope everyone is doing well! It sounds like Ernesto really needs some encouragement, I know I've felt the same way at times just really mad at myself. Sounds like he needs some ADBB cheerleaders :icondance :joyErica
