    Hi, My name is Debbie and this is the second time around AGAIN for me! I was on Atkins 2 years ago and had great results. I haven't gained that much back, about 10 lbs, and alot of FAT! I have got to get rid of it. None of my cloths fit. This is my 3rd day and seems like I have forgotten what you go through. I'm weak, and sick to my stomach and the headaches are killers! I feel better than yesterday! At work last night I just wanted to go to sleep and could hardly function. I have to walk up 48 steps to the office and didn't think i was going to make it. When i did, i was so sick I thought I was going to vomit! I want that burst of energy i remember! When will i get that? I really thought today would be the day! Its not!
    I was a member before but haven't posted for some time, GUILT!
    glad I found the second time around!!
    I've been reading posts and I salute you all!!

    disregard all that info about me! I'm cheat free 3 days and my goal weight for now is 120lbs! To old to be 115!

    36 more hours, maximum. That's a promise!

    Drink as much water as you can handle without throwing up. Take 4 ibuprofin for the headaches. Eat a LOT of fat.

    Tonight, when you get home, try the following:

    1. Take a long, hot bath, preferably with some sort of fragrant oil or gel in the water.

    2. Make a cup of decaf green tea (or another tea you like). Sip slowly.

    3. Before you dry off, massage in some nicely fragrant oil or lotion.

    4. Put on something comfy and lie down on sofa or bed. Relax. S'okay if you fall asleep! That happens to me whenever I put up my feet, lol

    Hang in there! This, too, shall pass!

        Thanks so much for just what i needed! This WOL i don't find that constricting, except when hubby sits down and eats a bowl of ice cream and i "remember" the taste! I get depressed yet just thinking of my red licorice! I hope those 36 hours go fast, my mood is not the best right now! I just want to cry for about an hour or more! I'm not craving anything, i'm full, i had eggs for breakfast and a salad. I hate eggs but i can kill the taste with Lawry's seasoning salt. I drink 64+ ounces of water a day. Thats not a probem. Its my insides! They feel like they're screaming and i don't know why, it feels like a hormone disorder! LOL But I remember how wonderful i felt when i lost before, those inches just made all the difference! I had a swimming suit on! Hadn't had one of those on in years! My goal is by the end of August, to take one dip in the pool before the weather changes! and in a bathing suit!

          Just hang in there Debbie! You may consider increasing your water intake. Especially if you are using the seasoning salt. This could cause you to feel bloated.

          What great feelings and goals to hold onto! You will be in that bathing suit before you know it. :hug

            Your insides screaming is your body detoxing from those nasty, nasty carbs! It's like any withdrawal process. It SUCKS!

            One thing that works for many is to imagine what you'd say to a friend who was withdrawing from heroin or another illegal substance when the friend was in the throes of the worst part of it. What advice would you give? What reassurance, what moral support?

            Then say it to yourself!

            You can do it! And it's your party, so if you feel like crying for an hour, cry!

                From another Debbie, hang in there. I am on my fourth day of real iduction and I just starting feeling good. I can remember all the energy I had when I did this WOL before and it is really keeping me going, almost more than the weight loss. Hang in there it will be worth it.

                  Good Morning! First off....so glad to meet you all!! And thank you for the welcome! I do know that i need this board when i do this WOL. It just helps to keep me centered! Still waiting for that burst of energy. I don't feel as bad as i did the first two days, really it hasn't been anything like the first time around. I was deathly sick! This is a little better, but also makes me wonder what i'm doing wrong! I keep thinking that i'm doing something wrong and nothing is going to happen! But i'm eating right, exercising, not alot, but i have gotten about 30 minutes in each day so far. And keep waiting for ketosis! I don't use the strips, i can tell by the smell when i start it. SO....anytime now would be good! LOL
                  hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far, and staying cool!
                  Temps in MN are in the mid 90's with humidity unberable!!

                    Hi Debbie! You're doing great. Just make it through those first few days. I find that just sometimes it takes longer for me to get into ketosis even if I'm doing everything right. I think maybe for us chicks our hormones throw the process out of whack sometimes. You'll make it!
