  • Happy Friday!

Wow, this week has gone by quickly! I'm starting Day Five today. No cravings. No induction flu. Just thirsty and peeing constantly.

I feel SOOOOO good. I can tell I've lost the bloated feeling and I think my stomach is flatter. Sleeping well. Eating VERY well!

After months and months of trying to get back on the Atkins woe, I feel like I've finally succeeded. It took THIS BOARD to do it. It's the only difference between the attempts in December - May and now. Thank you guys so very very much!

I have to clean the entire house today (my older daughter cleaned the bathroom yesterday, and in exchange left laundry ALL over the living and dining rooms! Then she cleaned her bedroom and now I know where all the dishes and silverware went!) and run errands. I'll work out late this afternoon - by myself, alas, since my other daughter has to work. But I'm pumped.
    Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
    218/187/140
    Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

Minimum 45 min cardio per day

Woohoo! You're well on your way. Keep up the good work. I'm still plugging away. Not losing quickly, but happily eating my way to thin. I'm 7 pounds from my first mini goal. Once I get there I can buy either a really gorgeous kitchen scale (stainless, looks like the old fashioned grociers scale) or a better blender.

Great job guys! Glad to hear things are going so well for you.

Things are going well for me also. I have battled the hershey kiss jar at work all week and can safely say I WON! I'm avoiding the scale for right now. Hopefully I'm losing, but at least for the time being I feel better physically and emotionally. Exercise is still going strong, so hopefully that is helping with the inches.

If we lose the board, have a great weekend!!! :wave

Good Morning! Sounds like everyone is doing a GREAT job! My hats off to you!!! WAY TO GO!! Keep it up!

Me on the other hand.... don't feel to much yet! Still waiting for that BURST of energy that I know I should have by now. I'm just really disappointed at this stage. I don't have that much to loose so maybe thats it. I haven't had a WHOOSH yet and I'm not in ketosis, or if I am, its very light! I'm drinking my water, eating right, no hunger pains except for when I get up in the morning. So....any idea's what my body is going through? I'm not sick anymore, just weak yet. My scale, yup, I'm a scale junkie, yesterday up one lb, today back down that pound. and..to top all of that off, I forgot (will do it today) forgot to measure myself!!

Keep up the great work everyone! I'm so proud of you!!
          happy losing to us all!!

Victoriansoup, I don't know how many carbs you're having, but I had ZERO energy until 30+ carbs. I never had the ketotis energy.

For what it's worth, I haven'd gotten a burst of energy yet, either. It's just slightly easier to wake up early in the mornings and I don't have the urge to nap in the afternoon (I'm a teacher, so I have the summer off....)

Thanks! I've been sitting here thinking and I DO FEEL BETTER, i don't feel like a ton of bricks anymore! Maybe the weights not gone or the inches off yet, but i feel lighter! Does that make sense?

We have the nicest neighbor lady and she knows I work long hours, she just brought over a pan of brownies and a cake! Now wasn't that nice :confused She is a sweetie, hubby will eat it all! I thanked her and told her how good it looked, came in the house and set it one the counter and thought to myself YUCK! Don't even look good to me! And it don't! So I must be doing something right! LOL!!

I"m starting to perk up! I get very little sleep, i work till about 2AM and up at 9 usually, but once i get going....i'm just an ever-ready battery! LOL

                Thanks for the moral support!
                happy losing to us all!!

I"m glad you are feeling better. EVerybody loses differently so don't be disappointed. You WILL lose, just keep at it!

I haven't had much energy either. I've been keeping my carbs at between 16-18, but actually think I'm not getting enough calories to meet my BMR. That might be why I'm still feeling tired. Not sure what I can eat though to keep the balance between calories and carbs.

Checking in quickly... Happy Friday! :joy

Finelly, I tried that kale last night. It's actually really good! Greasy, but good! It will keep me away from the Fritos for sure! I also made that sour cream dish and had some for breakfast. I made it too sweet so I'll have to tweak it a little.

Busy day today. I hope y'all have a great weekend! I'll let you know how my camping went and if I stayed the course :guns

BTW, I'm a scale slave, too. I've decided to take my measurements the 1st of every month so I don't get so discouraged about the SLOW weight loss. I lose inches better than I lose weight. Anyone want to do the same?

                      Hi guys!

Victoria - isn't it GREAT when you aren't even tempted? I love it. I get off just on the SMELL of french fries and cookies. No need to eat.

Elfish - to increase calories without carbs, add meat. I didn't eat this much meat last time, but I do now, and it's keeping the calories and fat up without adding carbs. I now keep roasted chicken legs around in the fridge for just that thing.

Debbie - glad you like the recipes! Yes, the sour cream thingy needs to be tweaked to provide your own amount of sweetener - that's why I didn't give a specific amount. I play around with it, as I need less sweetener as time goes by, for some reason.

Finelly, I guess that makes sense (duh)! Thanks, I just wasn't thinking.

Debbie, I'm with ya' on the scale thing. I haven't wieghed yet but I'm going to on July 1st. I'm going to put a post to see if anyone else wants to do the same. I think it's a great idea!
