    Damn!

    I was sitting here at the computer responding to the post about compulsive weighing. And RIGHT in front of me was the tape measure. So, stupid me, I thought, "why not just measure your waist to see if you've lost?" So I did.

    Nothing. Not a milimeter. Zippo.

    Now, to be honest, I then measured my abdomen and I've lost 2 inches. But somehow, that's not good enough!!!!!!! <sobbing> I want my waist back!!!!!!!!!!

    I know, I know. Only 7 days in. But SHEEEEESH! What a MORON I am! I feel dreadful......

    I think we need blinders LOL

    I know if I REALLY commit to a certain day of week or month to measure/weigh, I can do it. My problem is, as I'm sure with everyone else, is that I want a daily confirmation that I'm doing things right. However, I'm thinking (for myself) that if I stop the daily and go weekly/monthly, it will motivate me more to do better (weekends are my downfall) so maybe I WILL see better results. :nod

    It's a mindset and taking absolute control over yourself... I think...?

      Well, it looks like a lot of us can relate to each other. Which is why this forum is so great! Perhaps we need a group challenge or something to that effect for the people who are interested in curbing down on the weighing and measuring... thoughts?

        Ok, well, I'm committed to only weighing every 2 weeks. This coming Monday is the beginning of week 3 for me, so that is when I will weigh.

        And I am now RE-committed to only measuring every 2 weeks, too!

          Ha ha... that is cool. I am going to commit to weighing once a week, on Sundays. I will hand over my scale to my friend for safe keeping. I'll keep you all posted!

            I did the same thing the last time I did this WOE...it had only been a week and I was so determined not to weigh I measured instead and nothing...I was so discouraged.
