  • Need ideas

    On Monday a.m., I will have completed the first 14 days. I will stay on extended induction for quite some time, as this is where i'm comfortable and I have quite a bit to lose.

    During the last two weeks, I have been able to sustain the following commitments:
    1. Take my supplements daily
    2. Remain well below 20 carbs per day with good fat and protein percentages.
    3. Eat right around the number of calories in my bmr.
    4. Get a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio in per day.
    5. Drink at least 130 fluid ounces of water per day.

    I'm wanting to commit to two more things, thus adding to my list of successful personal challenges. Just not sure what I should be thinking of.

    Can you guys suggest some ideas?

    Hi Finelly, I don't know if you'd want to consider this yet, but what about moving onto OWL - to find your CCLL that is and maybe by the time you're finished, you can drop back down to the carb level you're comfortable at and start moving up the rungs? That way you could find out what your upper limits are (by finding your CCLL, that way you'll know how much to eat to keep losing and if you do cheat or accidentally slip up, you'll know that you'll have some bandwidth for doing so, and still likely to lose)

    I know people are scared of OWL and think they'll stop losing on OWL, but that's not true - I don't believe so - actually I've seen many keep losing steadily through OWL and some even stalled on induction and began to lose when they moved onto OWL.

    So maybe if you'd like to consider it, what about finding your CCLL as one of your personal challenges?

      How about increasing your exercise to 45 min of cardio and adding the required by Dr Atkins resistance training.

      How about changing that well below 20 net carbs to eating my below 20 net carb total 3 cups of healthy veggies.
      How about testing out one new to me on the acceptable veggies lists veggie every week?

      How about testing out one new low carb recipe each week too?

        I already do resistence training daily - upper body one day, lower body the other.

        But upping to 45 min. is an idea.

        The increased veggies thing...well, I have already been occasionally adding veggies when the carbs are well below 20.....
