  • What I've learned in the last 2 weeks

I'm finishing up Day 14. Thought I'd reflect a little on what I've done and learned:
    • I learned that spinach is GOOD!
    • I learned that I cannot fulfil my current exercise commitments unless I actually go somewhere to do it. Tapes at home are not going to happen.
    • I learned that the only way I can do this is to be accountable. To this board, these buddies, etc. I tried and tried to restart. Wasn't until I came here that I made it more than 10 hours this time around.
    • I learned how to make flax crackers and boy are they good with melted cheese or cream cheese!
    • I learned that I will not throw up if I drink 130 fluid oz of water a day.
    • I learned to live without the scale. I am completely uninterested in what it says. I do not care. I probably won't weigh until at least 1 month. I care only about inches and how I feel and how my clothes fit.
I'll add more if I remember anything else!
    Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
    218/187/140
    Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

Re: What I've learned in the last 2 weeks

    Good thread Finelly

I am still in the stages of making this work for good but I have learned that this truely is the way to eat for my body.

I feel so much better. All those carb dense, nutrient lean foods arent good for my body. I function so much better with low carb. I sleep better, my mind is clearer, my energy is way up, I have no desire to go back to feeling like a sloth.

I have learned that I need to schedule exercise and that is has to be in the morning or Im going to put it off.

I can drink the water but need to do it in increments so I am not trying to drink it all late in the day to make up for not beginning first thing in the morning. (Giving up coffee in the AM is going to help me here)

I dont care about the number on a scale. I care about how I feel, how my clothes feel, mostly I care about being healthy.

I learned that I have to write down what I am eating and keep track daily.

That is what I come up with right off the top of my head.
