  • gained 4 lbs since yesterday!

    I cannot believe this. I gained 4 lbs since yesterday bringing me back to what I started with. I had 3 eggs and bacon for breakfast, a burger wrapped in lettuce with onion and mustard lunch, and a steak with grilled zucchini and onions for dinner. Then I ate two bowls of beef broth (that was salty) and about 4 glasses of water + 2 diet pepsi's.

    Does anything look wrong to you guys that I ate yesterday? I THINK that the beef broth I ate mugh have made me retain a lot of water (4 lbs worth, though?) since the beed bouillions that I dropped in had a lot of sodium in them.

    I am REALLY sad right now after seeing I am back up to 170 lbs when I was 166 lbs yesterday morning. Does anyone know why this happened? I am really bummed now and don't know what to do.

    I think you're right. It was likely the beef broth. Two diet pepsis probably contributed to the problem. No more beef broth and diet pepsi, and I'd bet that you'll lose it all in a few days plus some.

      Honey, honey, honey:

      1. STOP WEIGHING EVERY DAY. The scale is not accurate on a daily basis, because of water retention and such. You will sabotage yourself if you are weighing daily and getting upset by what it says.

      2. Four glasses of water is NOT ENOUGH. You need to drink EIGHT glasses of water as a base amount, plus another glass of water per 25 lbs you have to lose. I personally drink about 130 fluid ounces of water per day, which is about 14 or 15 glasses per day. Go to the FAQs section of this board and read the postings from the experts on water.

      3. You are not eating enough veggies. Better to add a spinach salad to the burger wrap, another cup of green leafy veggies to your dinner, plus the zuchini.

      4. I don't think you're eating enough fat, either. Do you have a fitday.com account? If not, get one - it's free. If so, take a look at your percentages - are you eating 65% fat? Ifyou aren't, add fat immediately to your menu.

      Now buck up, stop relying on the scale, fix your menu, drink up the water, and GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!

          Everything already said! Drink up on the water! Also, what are you doing for exercise?

            Thanks to everyone who gave me this advice - I will do everything you all suggested! I am going to drink lots of water and make sure that I have enough fat in the diet. I won't weigh myself for 2 days or so in order to get off the habit of weighing every single day and then I can do it les often.

            I'm not going to give up! I know that these 4 lbs are all water! I have been good! I'm going to do ever better. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT. I couldn't do this without you guys.
