Hi Guys,
I just got back from lunch and wanted to share a quick and easy way to get Atkins-Friendly food on the run. I went to McDonald's and ordered a double-quarter-pounder with cheese burger, a side salad, and a glass of water. I threw away the bun and only used half the packed of Newman's Ranch dressing for the salad. The entire meal cost under $5 [$4.75] and it was quick and easy to get during the day. The entire meal was no more than 4 carbs total too!
There is also a fast food place called Carl's Junior that actually has a "Low-Carb Meal" on the menu which consists of a big Angus-beef burger wrapped in lettuce (instead of a bun), a salad, and a diet-soda of your choice. This is also very good to grab when you are on the run or don't feel like cooking.
Basically, they replace the bun with lettuce and replace the evil fries with a friendly salad. So, happy fast food eating! It's finally good for you!
