    Good Morning!!

    Just checking in on everyone to see how ya'll are doing this morning. This week went by pretty fast.

    My back is better this morning. Im not moving really fast or making any quick twists or picking up anything off the floor but the simple act of standing up doesnt send an ungodly pain thru my lower back. NO MORE LIFTING 50# BAGS OF MULCH AND COMPOSTE!!! I have learned my lesson.

    I am glad to have made it without eating myself thru the boredom. So my goals stay the same for now: Water and good food. I know Im not up for a trip to Curves so maybe Ill get in a longer, albeit still slow walk around the back 40 here at home.

    Any special plans this weekend that you have to prepare for?

    I am an American living in England and working in London and had a scare from the bombing. Didn't get hurt, caught up in it but it was quite an adventure getting home yesterday. We left work early and one of the girls from work's husband picked us up in his taxi and took us to their house and then we went from there in another friend's taxi who drove two of us (me included) the rest of the way home. I live about 30 miles north of London. Didn't go into work today, instead I am working from home as luckily I can log into work computer from home.

    Sorry to hear about your back. I am hoping that once I shift this weight, thanks to Atkins that my back problems will be sorted. Gardening can really do you in.

    Even with all the fright yesterday, I didn't blow my diet.

      Glad to hear that you made out OK yesterday. Scary stuff. Im sure that was very stressful and congrats on not losing your Atkins during it! It is a good thing being able to work from home with all this computer technology.

      I dont really have back troubles but pulled the same muscle about 8 or 9 years ago when lifting too much weight in the green house where I worked and the same muscle went this week from lifting too much again. I forget that I am not 20 anymore and just do what ever in defiance of my 43 years. Serves me right for giving up my trips to Curves last fall. I was so much stronger when I was going all the time.

      And I do feel for anyone who has chronic back pain. This is NO fun whatsoever.

      Again..............way to go on staying on plan yesterday!!

        Good Morning!

        We had the news on all day and evening yesterday, and I think it's safe to say that all Americans are behind you Brits!!!! There are Union Jacks flying, the radio played "God Save the Queen", and we're not just talking in Washington DC, where the Army Band went to the British Embassy to play it! Thoughts and prayers are streaming over there....

        I can't believe it's Friday already! Wow! I'm almost at three weeks! And I'm so entrenched now, it's a completely natural woe for me again...

        I'm going to work out in the afternoon again because the whirlpool at the gym will be down until noon (oy vey!) and I NEED that!!!! I'm going to try to hit an aqua aerobics class, though, which should be fun.

        Weekend plans? Nope. Just the usual. Maybe the beach on Sunday - woo hoo!

        Interesting - the last two days, I have felt leaner in my body. It's an INTERNAL feeling. Maybe just a whooshie from TOM - who knows? I don't weigh! Or maybe I'm dropping major inches...whatever it is, I don't care!

            So glad you are feeling better Terry! And Arctica - so glad you are okay. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Londoners! Finelly, great job on three weeks!! Glad you are starting to get the "thin" feelings. Isn't that funny, last time I, will say goofed, on this WOE, I felt like I was walking heavier, like I had a ton of bricks on my shoulders from one bite.

            Well, so glad its Friday. My boss has been on vacation all week and because of my addiction to this board, I have not gotten a single thing done that I needed to.

            My plans for the weekend - DH and I are going on a date night. We will see a movie, Star Wars (his choice) and we will go to dinner - probably TGI Fridays at the suggestion of Dragonflymoon (thank you again). I'm looking forward to trying out their Atkins friendly dishes.

            Goals for today: I will eat appropriately all day long (I hid the hershey kiss jar since I'm the only one here), I will exercise at least 30 mins, though my poor body is sore today, and I will keep guzzling water even though I already feel like my eyes are floating!

                  Congrats to ALL of us for our strength and determination to make this WOL work! I'm finding it easier every day! I don't think about food as much as i did before. Right now i have two chicken breasts baking! And i can smell them, and they smell so good!

                  My best friend lives in London and i finally got a hold of her last night. She said she was so scared. One of the bombings was around the corner from her office and she thought it was thunder at first. Then she started hearing sirens. Said she was never so scared in her life. She said she had to walk down Oxford Street and there were buses everywhere and she was so affraid that one of them would blow up. I'm so sorry for the families that lost loved ones and the ones injured. My heart goes out to everyone.

                    Well, for me its a good friday so far. I am going strong on day three. A little bit of headache fluish stuff but I am at a computer for today, so at least I'm not doing physical labor. I usually screenprint at my work but a week or so ago I fell down some stairs and havn't been able to do any real physical work. I tried running yesterday, and actually, it was great for my back.. well, that was probably the stretching, but I felt good afterwards.

                      Sarah........... TFI Fridays has good low carb choices from what I have heard. Have fun on date nite!

                      I sat with the heating pad as usual and took a nice HOT shower aimed at my back and GOT DRESSED!!!!!! For the first time all week. Progress! I may get out today and run an errand or 2 and get out of the house.

                          I feel good, just found out my blood sugar is now normal range, got that pesky liver ultrasound today, but am feeling ok about it, losing weight = fatty liver goes bye bye!
                          Will walk tonight after its dark, its cooler then. Lost 1/2 pound since yesterday, and lost 4 inches too woohoo! Everyone have a FABULOUS day! mmmkay?
