  • Sunday.... yep I think its Sunday.....

    Good Morning everyone!!

    Im headed out awhile to do some cooking for a local event. Right up my ally as it is all grilled and MEAT!!!! Chips and rolls wont be in my way as I am doing the grilling.

    My back is so much better this afternoon. No backflips on the agenda but Ill get some walking in mid morning in between prepping and actually grilling lunch. Ill be able to post on the exercise thread today again!!! Yay!!

    Lots to check up on here this morning but no time. Will have to wait until later. Just wanted to wish you all a great Sunday!

    Happy Sunday to everyone! Its 5:58 a.m. and I just got back from a beautiful 50 minute walk by the riverside. Have to make my breakfast muffins today as I'm running low. They are my daily staple for breakfast. Going to cook some meat ahead today so that the next week will be a little easier. Its going to be hot on the prairies this week and I don't wanna have the stove or oven on much. Also going to make a BIG mess of taco salad meat so that I can satisfy my mexican urges whenever I want to. Everyone enjoy their day!

      Hiya! Wow, everyone's up early and bouncing around! Must be that ketosis rush.....

      No big plans for today here. Hope to get to the beach. Need to return to the grocery store because after all that shopping yesterday, I forgot Splenda and Flax seed - I must be losing my mind!

      My legs are really tired, probably still from that 1 hour stationary bike episode on Friday. I may skip the gym if we go to the beach and just do the walk in the sand. Or not. It's too early for me to make any kind of decisions, as I'm just having a cup of coffee!

      I'm worried about Elfish and Carbie....would someone be willing to take a bullhorn and go park in front of their houses and start yelling?

      My main goal today is to keep chugging water. I did it yesterday but still didn't drink as much as I should have. Don't know what the problem is! Oh, well.....

        Speaking of flax seed.....what do you do with them? I didn't bother with them last year, and I have no idea how to eat them.
        I'm cooking a bunch of chicken strips for the week, and planning out snacks to take to work. Usually I take a big salad with tuna mixed in, and some cut up cheese pieces to munch on, rolled up sliced ham, and a two litre bottle of water. ,
        Summer seems like it's never going to start this year. It's been raining and windy and cold since the beginning of June! Anyways, off I go to the kitchen.....

          I buy ground up flax seed and consume about 3 tablespoons a day.

          I either make it into a cereal (add water and microwave for maybe 30 seconds, then add a dollop of heavy cream and some sweetener) or a cracker (3 tablespoons water, 3 tablespoons flax seed, dash salt, mix, spread on a piece of parchment paper, microwave for 2 1/2 minutes, then melt cheese on it or spread cream cheese on)

          It really helps with the lower digestive tract, and also does wonders for hair and skin and nails.....

            Ditto on the flax. Its THE number one staple for me with this woe.

            It's now almost 3:00 eastern time here and I have gotten half of my water in so far. Will have to work at that other half. Got a nice long walk in between cooking today. I do need to get some meats cooked for home as well. I make a huge batch of taco meat each week because my kids eat it as well and it is handy to have on hand for them during the summer months. Whole chicken usually in the fridge as well round out my basic supplies with veggies.

            Im due to make some flax muffins too but want to order some more sf syrups. All I have left is Chocolate and not sure how that would be. Ill try it and see. Raspberry and Strawberry makes tasty muffins.

              Oh Finelly! All I have had today is a hamburger patty with mustard for breakfast with coffee. And lunch was 3 more patties with cheese n a few onions so Im a little hungry right now.

              So I needed a nice hight fat snack and am currently nibbling on your cream cheese pudding concoction.

              Is it yummy!!

                Isn't it yummy? To me, it tastes just like cheesecake.....to die for! I haven't made any in awhile - maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

                I just realized that today is day 21 for me. Three weeks! Wow! It just flew by! I feel GREAT!

                  Same here.......... day 21. Boy. For the longest time I couldnt get more than 5 whole days in before blowing it and throwing in the towel. I cant say this has been a breeze for the past 3 weeks but with the support I have gotten here it has made all the difference.

                  And I really do feel so much better!

                  That cheesecake pudding is definately going to be a once in awhile treat. I could get pretty used to it.

                      Mix equal amounts of cream cheese and sour cream with vanilla and splenda to taste. Chill. It tastes JUST like cheesecake, only in pudding form.....
