  • My Week Four commitment

I'm starting week four tomorrow. Last weekend, I made a new commitment - instead of working out a minimum of 30 min cardio, I decided to up it to 45 min. I achieved this by adding 5 min of either the bike or the elliptical trainer, then swimming laps for 10 min.

Frankly, there were, oh, 5 days out of the last 6 where I really came close to not doing the entire 45 min, but felt so guilty since I'd posted about the increase that I ended up doing it. So I think, for me, that posting my commitments is essential.

Although during the first two weeks I was very successful in getting enough water in , this last week I have really struggled. I can feel that I am not as well hydrated and I am worried that my body will respond by hanging on to that fat....

So, for next week, I am going to:

    - add some form of abs work or stretching/yoga each day that I exercise.
    - Drink a minimum of 130 fluid oz of water per day.

    Wish me luck!

    Luck to you Finelly!

Its week 4 for me too.
Here are my goals for this week:

    1. Walking 2 miles or the WATP equivalent 6/7 days (I will head back to Curves once I am sure my back is all better)
    2. Figure out that pedometer sitting on my counter and logging the steps I take every day.
    3. Water has been my constant downfall. 100 oz minimum each day beginning as soon as I get up each morning.
    4. Get on here each morning and read the exercise posts/commitment post and remind myself of what my goals are.

Keep my eye on the prize!

      Re: My Week Four commitment

Heres my four week committment. It's way to humid to go out and walk so I am going to commit to WATP and weight training 4 times a weeks and in August I start water arobics.
When it's not raining I am going to walk to work and back. Its only about a 1/2 mile away so there is no reason that I can't do that.
I am going to commit to
      use fitday.com
      drink 64 oz of water,
I am going to keep a positive attitude and NOT let negative thoughts or actions creep up on me.
I am going to make a new friend today.

Congrats guys on your four weeks!!!

Okay, so my goals for this week:

          1. Up that water intake

          2. Work on my exercise to add additional focus on abs

          3. Plan for vacation so that I am prepared and not hungry for fear that I will dig in to chips and salsa.

              Hi Kathi,

Walk Away The Pounds is a series of tapes by Leslie Sansone (I believe is her name). I have the series that has the 1 Mile Tape, 2 Mile Tape and 3 Mile Tape. Its a video you can do at home. The main steps are walking, side stepping, leg lifts, leg kicks. Then she throws in some arm movements, and has you carry/use some weights during a portion of the tape. I personally love this. Its low impact, but high calorie burning. Really works you.

                Re: My Week Four commitment

Just a correction, here. My commitment is for what I'm going to do this week, my fourth week. I'm still too shaky at this to commit for an entire four weeks!!!!! Besides, I find that a week or two at a time for incorporating new things is all I can handle.
