    Good morning! At least I think it is....I wasn't really wanting to get up yet, but those darned cats.....(what was I thinking? I finally have all the kids sleeping late, and now I have cats who demand food at the crack of dawn....)

    Yesterday I drank my goal amount of water, finally - it's been about a week since I was able to accomplish that!. I'm committed to drinking 130 fluid oz again today.

    I'm going to have to start expanding my menu, here. For the past two days, I end up 500 calories or so behind at about 8 p.m., and have to find something high calorie, high fat and protein to eat before bed. I guess the loss of appetite has kicked in! Since I tend to eat small meals 4-5 times a day, I'll just start adding devilled eggs or something new earlier in the day.....

    My jeans are loose, but I'm afraid to try a smaller size because my other sizes are at least 2 sizes smaller, and that may be too much to ask! Perhaps I'll try on some skirts....and some smaller shirts, since I sense that my dreaded back fat is diminishing.

    Ok, so today I will: do my workout, eat right, drink water water water, and stay positive! You guys are the BEST - I love coming on this board, as it keeps me focussed and optimistic and busy!

    Happy Tuesday!!! I too am just starting to get all my water in. I think I did 116 yesterday. I figured if I do 16 oz/hour I can get in 128 oz at work alone. Anything after work with meals or doing stuff at home is a bonus.

    I too love it here, but what I really love is how everyday each of you give me hope and keep me going. I have never felt to compelled to get online like I do for this board - and it is because of all of you. so thank you!

      Kathi - I agree. There's some amazing chemistry at work here that is different from other boards, even some other forums. It's like a touchstone I keep coming back to in order to center myself!

        Happy Tuesday guys! I agree, this forum is the greatest. Maybe we were all meant to find and support each other? Could be. Everyone is so motivational!

        Well, here I sit, totally drugged. The pain is gone from my sinus cold for the moment, but I still cannot breathe. I did a short walk yesterday, then came home and collapsed. I'm trying to stay strong and get through this, but must admit, I feel miserable. I have to stay at work too, which sucks. But just three more days and then vacation!!! I have to get better by the weekend! So, I'm drinking water and taking my vitamins. Trying to keep my distance from my ds so he doesn't get sick again, poor little guy.

        Well, enough of my woes. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday! Stay strong!!

          96 ozs of water in and it is only lunch. Going for the gallon by 4:30!

            (breaks into song) tuesdays gone with the wind.... anyway, so i too am trying to drink a gallon a day. i tell you i have always been a huge water drinker. it's all i drank for many years with an occasional coke. there was a time when my then bf, now husband, and i were very, very poor. we lived off ramen noodles for several months. anyway, i didn't care about anything else as long as i had my ozarka water. it's all i will drink. a gallon cost $1. so back in the day, i would go without food and buy my water. (the water out here is definitely poison!) i am not as good about drinking it as i used to be, but i am getting there again. yesterday i almost drank a whole gallon, but when i got home i kind of stopped. i really hate the constant bathroom trips, especially in the middle of the night!

            anyway, hope everyone has a great day and DRINK, DRINK, DRINK that H2O!

              Good afternoon All,
              Can someone tell me exactly how much I am suppossed to drink? I have my Dandr at home, but I am hoping someone has a quick answer.
              I have gained a pound today, but thanks to this board, I am not fretting and I am even going to skip weigh in for a week. Thanks, all.
              Say, does anyone else live in FL and plan to watch the launch tomorrow? Fun, fun.

              1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
              what the rungs mean to me:
              rung 1 - more veggies
              rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
              rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
              rung 4 - berries, melon
              rung 5 - wine -
              rung 6 - beans, hummus
              rung 7 - other fruits
              rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
              rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
              Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
              (on to pre-maintenance)

                Drink a minimum of 64 oz per day, plus another 8 oz for every 25 lbs you have to lose. I find that I feel better lighter, stronger, more energetic if I get between 110 and 130 fluid oz a day.

                  Hi I'm back! Surgery went well and I'm recovering very nicely. I'm at work today and VERY busy trying to catch up!

                  I didn't do very well eating-wise while I was home but I only gained 2.5 lbs which isn't much compared to what a weekend usually does to me.

                  But I'm back with it! I have set a mini-goal for myself to make it through a whole weekend without cheating. Since I can't exercise for a few weeks, I better keep eating right!

                      Debbie - SO glad to hear from you and that the surgery went well. That mini goal is good. So let's hear what you plan to do in order to achieve it!!! Need ideas?

                        I always need ideas!!! I need to stay away from my daughter's junk food when I'm hungry. I'm trying to keep jicama and turnips around to fry up when I want something... junky LOL


                        I need to stay away from the cream cheese and sour cream, or use very little. They don't cause cravings but everytime I have them, the scale moves the WRONG way!
