I don't have anything to add diet-wise, but PLEASE know how much I appreciate your service to this great country of ours! Military families are pressed into service just as much as the actual soldiers are.

Sarah1341 and LOWCARB..... thank you so much for you kind words and support. I wouldn't give up being an Army wife for anything in the world!!! It is a tough life, but it created a tough woman out of me and I am stronger today because of it. I love my husband and am constantly in awe of his strength and bravery..... he is MY hero. Thanks again!!!!!!!

Re: Hi again..and...A question about hunger.

Actually I can't see a thing wrong with your menu. We aim for 60% fat, so I think your pretty much right on there, 30% protein so your a little high there, and 5% carbs so your a little low, but I wouldn't worry about it as you are eating your 3 cups full and lettuce has nearly nil. My only comment, and take this with a grain of salt, is that your veggies are pretty pale. What I mean is, we need to get the best nutritional bang for our buck when we only eat 2-3 cups of veggies and bean sprouts and lettuce are not packed with nutrition. I would substitue brightly colored veggies, like peppers, fresh spinach, broccoli, stuff like that. If you like ranch dressing. fresh broccoli and cauliflower dipped in ranch is delightful and good for you
Another thing is I don't see anything "sweet" on your menu and maybe your body is craving just a bit of sweet. Doms Cheesecake or Clouds are induction friendly and may help. I can't eat either because I eat the whole thing, but sometimes I do mix a little cream cheese with cocoa powder and a packet of splenda and its pretty darn good for an end of the meal desert.
The problem with calories is that we really can't tell how many you need with your lifestyle. If you exercise for an hour a day or sit in a chair makes a big difference.
            We can do this.

Re: Hi again..and...A question about hunger.

Desertthorn.... LOL..I didn't think there was anything wrong with my menu personally.. but I understand and agree about lifestyle coming to play on calorie count. I'm a stay at home mom and when I'm not on the floor playing with barbies, dress up, or coloring at the table, I'm doing the typical mom things, cleaning, laundry and whatnot. I gave up cardio a long time ago due to a torn ligament in my knee and now stick with daily weight training. SO yes I exercise, but not the kind that is going to burn hundreds of calories. I tend to stay FAR away from sweets during induction because, like you, I would eat the whole thing...and it would lead to eating the contents of my refridgerator. My safest bet is always to do a few weeks to a month before I even think about introducing anything sweet. As to my "pale veggies" I completely agree. It wasn't by choice, trust me. I LOVE my salads and for the first day was eating string beans with dinner, but my husband (in his infinite wisdom) decided to purchase a rug for his barracks room in Iraq. WOW... I was surprised when I found out he'd pretty much cleared out our money. So, since then I've been broke. I am going grocery shopping tomorrow (payday...WOOHOO) and stocking up on all my dark veggies. Thanks for your imput and advice. By the way... I posted under another thread that yesterday and today I haven't been hungry at all.... so it was just a delay in the natural appetite suppression.
