  • Checking in...

Hey everyone ~ I haven't "been around" here much lately but i am checking in to let you know i am still hanging in there! Had a stall at the end of my third week so i have been really down about that. This summer has been really stressful so far, but i am sticking on extended induction just fine. Sunday marks the end of the fourth week so we'll see how i do then. I have been checking in daily with my board buddy, Sarah, though. She keeps me motivated and in check! Thank you, Sarah!

Cool ~ we are on the same schedule then! When does our measurement challenge end? I was wondering about that...

I am doing okay ~ just exercised so that is a miracle unto itself. Have been having a hard time keeping motivated with the exercise. I just don't like it. I don't like to sweat, i don't like to be out of breath, and i don't like to feel like a huge pile of fat. Funny that exercise is what i need to stop feeling like that. Catch 22 then, right?

So the big news of the summer is that my best friend has to have brain surgery. It has been a really tough few months. Her symptoms are getting worse and she feels so bad that somedays she can't get out of bed. My heart is breaking for her and i just want her to feel okay again. I feel helpless because there isn't much i can do for her ~ i wish i could fix everything and i can't. She is such a strong person but is feeling very low and in despair. She goes to see the neurologist today so hopefully they will be scheduling the surgery soon. The symptoms should be alleviated almost immediately following surgery.

So i have been feeling very sad.

Dragonfly, Sending your friend............and you a special prayer. Life throws some really hard curve balls sometimes.

As for your stall during week 3, it is normal for your body to take some time to adjust after your initial loss. Hang in there, things will be rolling again before you know it.
