    Our Sarah1341 is Going on Vacation!!!

    Hi everyone ~

    My buddy, Sarah1341, is going on vacation this Sunday. I know that she will be going through STAC board withdrawal, so i thought we could all type out a little message for her of encouragement and support during her week off in the wilderness. Then she can print it out and bring it with her... a piece of all of us at the STAC board to remind her we are all thinking of her and will be missing her posts.

    I know i will be going through buddy withdrawal! We check in with each other several times a day and it has been a wonderful and helpful experience. I wouldn't make it through some days without her!

    Sarah is a beautiful and strong woman who i am very confident will make it through her week away with flying colors. She will be getting in a lot of great exercise by hiking in the wildnerness. And i know that she is prepared ahead of time with lots of induction-friendly foods to help her on her way. I know she can do it!

    have a good trip though and make sure you find good water to drink while you are there!

      I'm definitely going to be going through withdrawals. But, still excited to go on vacation. I need away from the office desperately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Sarah - have a perfectly wonderful time!

        My advice is:

        1. Move as much as possible. Short walks, long hikes, dancing around the fire with the kids, etc. NOt using the car once you get to the camp site will automatically make you walk more!

        2. See if you can find quiet time just for yourself in nature to sit and absorb and reflect.

        3. Laugh a lot.

        4. Do NOT think about work. Ever.

        5. Drink your water!!!!!!!!!!

        6. Did I mention MOVE?

            When you feel withdrawal coming on...... just know that we will be thinking of you every day!!

            And while you are thinking of us ...................

            Journal.
            1. Write about all the fun things you are doing so you dont forget to share anything with us when you come back. Dring water
            2. Write what you are eating. Drink water
            3. Write if you are temped to cheat.......... tell us all about it in your journal and get it out as if we were right there. Drink water
            4. Create new thread topic for when you come back. Drink water
            5. And did I mention drink plenty of water? Then you will get plenty of exercise walking to the bathrooms!

            Enjoy your family and come home with lots of stories to tell!

              Seriously, great advice so far. Take legal food and TONS of it!!! Buy a few more coolers if you have to. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

              If you get tempted to eat the wrong stuff, just throw it to the ground and watch the cute mountain animals scurry and take it away!

              We will miss you but.......... HAVE A BLAST!!!!

                Terry - i love the "drink water" subliminal messages. That is so funny! They actually used to do that in the 50s during movies, didn't they? Flash "COKE" on the screen? Maybe they still do that on TV but it says... "CARBS." Ha ha.

                And i love the idea of journalling. What a great thing to do... you can write to us even though you aren't on a computer. Log in little notes to us about your vacation and then when you get back you can send them to us in one long post. I can imagine it...

                "Day Three... Walked up an other hill again, hoping to find a huge vat of chocolate. All i see now are pine trees. How many carbs are in bark chips? Do they go well with whipped cream? Salsa? Anyone?"

                    Yeah, my stories will probably sound like this:

                    "well, chasing C.J. down the beach again, he insists on smashing people's sand castle's. Tried to go in the Lake on his own." That is what I will be doing, chasing my toddler around. Still better than work though. You know, the child is only 20 months old and he stares girls in bathing suits down like he knows what he's looking at. Too funny!
