    Today completes my first month back to Atkins! Yay!

    Some of the things I have learned are:

    1. I CAN do this. After starting induction over so many time I had really questioned whether I could make it work again. That said, I know I have more to go and there will be some down times but ....

    2. This board is a truely useful tool that has helped me to be successful again.

    3. Water is my friend.

    4. I really missed exercise. It feels good to walk again!

    5. That bagel just isn't worth the lousy way it will make me feel.

    6. This is not a race. This is for life and I will lose as my body wants me to lose.................not immediately like I WANT it to. So patience IS a virtue. (Not one of my strong points) I am much more relaxed about my progress this time. Even if too neurotic to get on a scale and try on those jeans just yet.

    7. I am worth the effort

    8. I am humbled by the loss I had before and how quickly it can return. The saying "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is SO true.

    Like Terry, today completes my first month back on this woe.

    As I look back at all my posts, I see that I felt really good every day except the day before TOM, when I wigged out <grin>

    I've had energy, joy, companionship and support from this board, I feel stronger, leaner, and just generally a sense of well-being.

    I still struggle with the water, but I know it's my friend. I'm most proud of my consistency in working out. I don't know that I have done this much, this regularly, since I was a thin person way back 6 or 7 years ago.

    Because the weight is coming off more slowly this time, I take nothing for granted and I am more determined to stay with it. Who wants to gain it all back after this much effort and concentration?????!!!!

    Today I will probably go to the beach and have a good beach walk, plus lie on the sand and finish Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (which, for you Potter fans who don't yet have the book, is absolutely the BEST!). I will work out this afternoon, as well.

    I realized today that I am not yet sick of any of the foods I eat. Being a creature of habit, I'm not suprised! I'm eating well. Often don't have enough calories by 7 p.m., which leaves me room for a nice fatty snack before bed - yum!

    I'm starting to think about what I would like to add to my commitments for the next week.......any ideas?

    And for those of you doing the Tape Measure Challenge ----- TUESDAY is the day to REMEASURE!!!!! Woo hoo!

      I almost remeasured today after the pants didnt fit but decided not to. The pants bug me and I put them away and will bring them out again at a later date. I have a seminar to attend for work in August and wish they would fit but if they dont they dont. Ill deal.

      We have learned a lot in a months time havent we? There is something to be said for it being the second time around isnt there? Kind of like having your second child. Im a little more relaxed about it this go round.
