  • How much excersise is too much?

    I was just wondering how many days should you work out? How many days are too many? How many days are too few? I do know you have to allow your body to rest at some point.

    i think 5 days a week is good, 6 or 7 might be pushing it. when i was all in shape, I"d do this:

    MTWTh: weight circuit and 20 min cardio, and then situps
    Friday: 30 min cardio

    then nothing sat and sun.

    seemed to work for me. This time around I did too much my first week and now i'm hurt. I played tennis for 1.5 hours and i'm out of shape, and i was really working hard. With the extra weight and floppy muscles, it wasn't a good idea.

      this is my schedule

      Monday - Pilates (1 hour)
      Tuesday - off
      Weds - Pilates (1 Hour)
      Thursday - swim 1/2 mile
      Friday - off
      Saturday - Pilates (1 hour)
      Sunday - Swim (1/2 mile)

      Considering that I couldn't walk 1/2 block a couple of months ago, I am fairly proud of myself!

      If we aren't supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat?

        Be careful not to overdo it, your muscles need time to rest and recover. The more intense the workout the more recovery time you may need.
