    Hi All!

    As usual, I'm sitting here with my first cup of coffee, reading everything in this forum, including posts I read yesterday.

    I feel good. (getting VERY used to waking up feeling good now that it's been a month!). I can definately tell when I wake up every day that I have gotten in good exercise the day before, and it's that good stiff need-to-stretch feeling that keeps me in touch with my body.

    I decided yesterday that instead of increasing cardio anymore (I do a minimum of 45 min, and at least 3 days a week do about 1.5 hours) I am going to increase the strength training by learning how to use free weights, at least on my upper body. Of course, I know nothing and am embarassed to try on my own, but I have a free personal trainer session at the gym I may utilize. Also a bunch of magazines with photos of each exercise. I'd like to build some definition so that when the fat continues to come off, there'll be muscle in there! Also, I think the more I build that muscle, the more calories I'll burn, long-term.

    As some of you know, I've been noticing that I only lose weight on days when I haven't eaten meat. Tried meat yesterday after losing 1/2 lb a day for several days of no meat, and what do you know? Gained a 1/2 pound! (gotta be water, of course). I'm seriously thinking now that meat is a staller for me for some reason.....lol

    Today is probably another beach day with dh and the kids. I'll take a long walk on the sand and am bringing a bunch of good foods to eat. I'm never tempted when I'm lying in the sun....

    Hi Finnely!

    man, can I come to the beach, too? that sounds awesome. They say 8 people have died here in the last week due to heat. Its been over 110 and humid. even at night.
    Aren't you glad you don't live here?

    I had the crappiest day yesterday. I hate it when the day is so bad it affects the next day...I'm still PO'd. Our 'music' computer went down and my dh was in a pissy mood. It trully sucked!

    Oh well, today has to be better, doesn't it?

      Mojo - you're in Arizona, right? It's so hot there that my ex is coming up for the weekend! He stays with us, and we'll be happy to take him to the ocean to get some fresh breeze!

      Crappy days suck. But you're right, today is another day. Stay where it's air conditioned! Ice your drinks! Go swimming after work! Do a mall walk instead of outside! And tell dh NO MORE BAD MOODS! lol

          Yesterday was one of the most awful muggy days here in the midwest. Everyone was just dragging. I thought I was having a touch of the flu but I really believe it's just the weather here.

            Good morning and happy Tuesday to everyone! It is a beautiful day here and should be in the upper 80s and low 90s all week. I am so glad it isn't in the hundreds - i would wilt in the heat. I am getting ready to feed the baby and then start the day. I just got the Walk Off the Pounds video and did that this morning. I want to try to up my exercise during the week. For the past month i have only been working out about 3 times a week, so it is time to change. I am going to try to commit to around 5 or 6.

            I hope everyone has a good day. I'll be staying with my friend for the next few days while her husband is out of town. She is the one who is having brain surgery soon - she is so dizzy that she has been falling down lately. It is really hard to see her go through this. She is so young! So i won't be around much for the next few days ~ i'll try to check in if i can. I'll miss being around! Enjoy the week...

              Hi Everybody,
              It sure is hot and muggy here too. I am in Orlando. Whew. We could use some relief from the heat, but no hurricanes please.
              My kids are gone to Grandma's for the week. That really isn't as much fun for me as I thought it would be. My husband is so excited to have the house to ourselves, but I can't really get into it. I miss them! Anyway, I am determined to try tonight to enjoy myself.

              Finelly, where on the West Coast do you live? I used to live out there and I surely do miss the weather.

              Dragonfly, I sure hope your friend feels better. I will send some positive vibes your way...

                  Well , my Tuesday is just about finished! It is almost the weekend here, so can't complain....Thusday and Fridays are weekends here. Counting the days till we go on holidays... Im' 4 days cheat free, which I'm proud of myself for doing, I'm aiming hard to lose about 20 pounds before we leave on 18th August!

                  I'm noticing that this summer I'm not overheating as I was last summer...I'm down at least 25 pounds from last summer, and it was very hard to endure the heat here...often it is hovering around 40 degrees celcius (sorry I don't know the fahrenheit equivalent lol ) and sometimes hotter, etc...

                  I'm still staying indoors a lot, but when I'm goig in between the car and house or work, i'm not nearly as affected as I was last summer.

                  Overall I had an average normal day...what can I say? Woke up, eat breakfast, went to work, had lunch with my husband (went to Pizza Hut and had chicken wings and a salad), went back to work, worked till 6 pm as usual... did some errands with hubby and my son after work, went to the dermatologist this evening and came home made dinner, and now here I am! I'm heading to bed soon though...

                  I'm feeling I have soooo much more energy. I should be falling off the chair fast asleep, but i'm not! (the reason i'm saying this is the past few nights I've only had around 6 hours or less each nght, and usually my body requires 8 + hours of sleep...).

                  Feeling great overall now that I'm back on track again with Atkins!

                    I'm in San Diego, aka heaven on earth......

                    Having the kids gone is a blessing but a weird thing. My ex and I used to do this thing with another couple where once a month, we'd keep their kids, and once a month, they'd keep ours for a weekend. And we'd stay home, not go anywhere.....it felt strange, but after 24 hours, we had a blast! So enjoy!

                    Yeah, it did sound weird, wishing you were my ex! But I adore him, and we remain good friends. He and my dh are also good friends, so it works out well!

                    I had a great day. WEnt to the beach almost all day, walked my 50 min on the sand, drank my water, went to see charlie and the chocolate factory tonight - good fun film!
