  • A Water Miracle

    Hello All,
    I have something I want to share! First of all, let me say that I reached the 10 pound mark this morning. I am beyond excited that it has been slightly over one month and it is working! My mini goal this week was to start drinking all my water. I had to force myself for the first couple of days, but now I actually wake up thirsty! I even went into a half hour meeting this morning without my water bottle and found myself reaching for it. Yum! And I am a water hater! Now, I am really enjoying it and feeling great. Atkins is really changing my life. Cheers.

    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
    what the rungs mean to me:
    rung 1 - more veggies
    rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
    rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
    rung 4 - berries, melon
    rung 5 - wine -
    rung 6 - beans, hummus
    rung 7 - other fruits
    rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
    rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
    (on to pre-maintenance)

    It's true. The more you drink the more you reach for it out of habit!. This was hard for me to get to as well. I am doing a gallon most days now. When I go back to work it will probably slow down a bit though.

      Thanks, the 10 lbs are incredible for me. I had to dig in the closet for something to wear because my work clothes are starting to look like pajamas. At what point should I go out and buy new? What a problem to have!!!

      Good luck as you head back to work. My co-workers much think I am nuts going to the bathroom every few minutes..

          WOO HOO, Shannon! Yep, that water kinda GROWS on you, doesn't it? And those ten pounds....well, so long! Buy yourself one new outfit, to celebrate! Or a new pair of pants and a couple of shirts!!!!
