I was wondering if anyone else snacks on these and if they are safe for induction? TIA

Re: Slim Jims and Beef Jerky...
I am not one of the experts on this board, but I definitely will eat them. If we are travelling and we stop at the convenience store, I will grab the slim jim with the string cheese attached. I know that is probably pretty gross to some, but it keeps me out of the you-know-what...149.8/no weigh/ 119

1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
what the rungs mean to me:
rung 1 - more veggies
rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
rung 4 - berries, melon
rung 5 - wine -
rung 6 - beans, hummus
rung 7 - other fruits
rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
(on to pre-maintenance)

Re: Slim Jims and Beef Jerky...
Just be careful to read the labels. Many of them have added sugars. I think a lot of them are high in salt content also. Just something to consider. I try to stay away from them.Originally Started May 29, 2003 and lost 96 pounds. Fell off the wagon and gained over 100 pounds back. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

Re: Slim Jims and Beef Jerky...
Not sure about induction...I tried to stay away from processed stuff while on that. However, now that I"m sorta on a variation of extended induction I snack on them all the time. Snack might be an understatement. I eat them just about every day. The little ones though...in the can. I haven't noticed any ill effects.
