  • Hi!!

    Hello!! I had a question on one of the other forums this morning and someone recommended this forum instead so I thought I would try it!!! I have a quick question....This is my 11th day and the scale isn't moving not one bit...so I've decided to hide the scale!!! I was thinking about all I've been eating and I keep second guessing myself. I've read the foods that are allowed 10x to make sure I'm not eating anything "illegal". I know I saw tomatoes are allowed but I want to make sure. Also, when I need something chocolate...and I know someone is going to tell me NO, so I better get it out of the way...I've been eating a couple tbs of frozen choc whipped cream...the kind in the can. I guess that's probably bad isn't it!!! But it said less than 1gm of carb, Thanks for the help and look forward to all the support on here!!!!

    Hi there and welcome! Why don't you post a sample daily menu that we can take a look at? And the choc whipped cream in the can has GOT TO Go! lol But you already kinda knew that!

      I know....I totally didn't even think of the sugar in the whip cream...I should have known better....but I will now!!! Thanks!!!!

        My menu consist of:

        BREAKFAST= scrambled eggs,sausage,or sometimes I'll eat left over steak,chicken from night before
        SNACK= crm cheese with ham, crm cheese with salami, pepperoni
        DINNER=beef,chicken,or seafood
        VEG=during the day I will have lettuce,tomatoe and small amount of onion

        It's seems right...but maybe not...someone please tell me!!!!!

            I usually eat a cup!!!! But I'm starting to think my problem was the whipped cream....sugar is not my friend!!! LOL!!!

              Seems like too little veggies, I would up those and yeah....throw out the can of goo! heh heh. Also the sausages you are having for brekkie, are they sugar free?

                I usually get it from McDonalds....is that bad?? I don't know why I'm asking...cause I'm sure the answer is yes!!! Guess I should just nip that in the bud too!!! But I have only done that 2x in the past two weeks so that won't happen anymore. What about tomatoes...are those ok???

                  Yeah I think MCDonalds sausage is prolly loaded with crap, and tomatoes....I don't know about you, they stall me but for others, they seem to do well with them. You are on induction? Got the Atkins book?

                    I made the same mistake the first couple weeks, I was eating sausage left and right cause I thought it was totally legal (and i love it hehe). I didn't realize they had so much filler and sugar. Now after reading the boards and really studying the atkins book, I cut them out. I found some turkey sausage thats not bad. Once I did I started to lose much quicker!

                    Really, if you haven't read the book - you should. It'll really help as to what you can eat.

                          Are you eating lunch? Be sure not to go more than 5 or 6 waking hours with out eating something.

                          I agree with everyone on the sausage. Be sure to check out the ingredients on them. I did the same thing the first time I began.

                          With each meal be sure to have protein and fat. Have you set up an account with fitday.com? This is a free site that you can plug in all your foods eaten and it will let you know how many carbs, protein and fat you have consumed. You should aim for 65% fat 5% carbs and 35& protein each day. That may be a help to you.

                            Make your own chocolate whipped cream. I do for special treats. A little cream, some splenda, and powdered pure cocoa..omg, to die for!!!! You can freeze it or just eat it cold. A tablespoon will usually do me.....

                              Be suspicious of everything that you put in your mouth, especially fast food. I don't know about McDonalds sausage and I wouldnt suspect they have any sugar but I would suspect fillers which generally are carbs.
                              You know you could cook up a bunch of Italian Sausage and then grab one for breakfast in the morning. That might help.
