I didn't gain weight somehow that was weird, but I left this board (I felt negative/wannabe perfection energy zapping me here), looked elsewhere and couldn't find adaquete support, left Atkins WOL, and got out of Ketosis. I want to get back on track, but I'm finding it easier to cheat now. I got to lose the rest of this weight. I need some love and advice. TIA

Welcome back to the board! Great you didn't gain any weight! How is your exercise program? Still working out? I found the easiest way to get back on track is to start chugging that water, and get some work outs in. You will feel like you never left in no time!

Thanks for the advice. I find that drinking my H20 again is like a kid taking medicine. I'm forcing it down though. Exercise, uggh, I'm not feeling it but I need to.{100% Female/30/5'6"}

Well Nikki.....Were glad you made it back....I think the first thing you need to do is get all of those things that tempt you out of the house....If its not there you can't cheat....
Another suggestion is when you thinking about cheating....Go and do something you like to do like play a game or leave the house and take a walk. Then your killing two birds with one stone.....Getting away from those pesky craving and getting a little exercise.
Its important that you make up in your mind that I going to loose this weight....*In my best Malcolm X voice* "BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!"
Once you have done this then nothing can stop you....
Good Luck and Let me know If I can help any further

I appreciate the advice but I didn't know I would have to go through the Induction Flu again, I forgot about that part. Oh well, I will get back on track hopefully soon. I want to know what is the motivation to get yourself back on track with anything in life? Again, TIA{100% Female/30/5'6"}

Re: I messed up. In need of a good pep talk. :{
hey Nikki- I am Rikki, and I too LOVE my MAC...lol. I just started back on Atkins about a week ago. I am not sure where I found the motivation, but I was TIRED of being tired! I feel sooo much better when I eat this way. I had been off the program so long I forgot what it was like. For me, before I lost quite a bit of weight, not as much as you have but I think when I started the diet I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with myself and as the weight came off I was more comfortable, therefor I didn't push myself as hard as I should have. I have never been a thin person, not since I was in the 2nd grande anyway! I guess i never pictured myself being thin either. BUT, I will be this time! I know I can do it and you should just jump in and do it and the lack of motivation will pass by soon. My MOTIVATION is MYSELF. I want to take care of myself now more than ever. I need to be healthy and happy- and only I can make those decisions that affect me!

Hey Nikki. Welcome back.
Motivation. That's a good question. I guess it has a lot to do with how much you want to be at a healthy weight. For me, I'm just really tired of being overweight and not feeling good. And even though I know that my husband still loves me, he doesn't make the comments about my looks like he used to. He used to tell me all the time: 2 minutes for looking so good. I don't get that anymore.
So I guess you need to find out what it is about your weight that is making you unhappy. Then think about how much better your life would be if you were at your ideal weight.

Nikki you may not get the induction flu. I had a slight headache for a day and that was all. I just wanted you to be aware and ready.Originally posted by **Nikki**I appreciate the advice but I didn't know I would have to go through the Induction Flu again, I forgot about that part. My motivation is how great I felt before when I eating right and remembering how well I DID NOT feel when I was no longer on program. I dont want to feel like that for the rest of my life. I want to be able to enjoy my life not sit back and watch everyone else enjoy theirs.

We ARE doing this!!!!!! We ARE! Look at this forum! How many of us have just been coming here for a few weeks? How much strength have we found here? I have been on many boards in my life, but never have I seen a group of people come together in the way we have, not knowing each other or even having common backgrounds.
And now new people are joining, and Nikki, take a look at the threads on this board. You are NOT alone. We have all been in the same situation. If we have found the strength and the commitment, so will you. If we have made it thru the first week, so will you. If we can celebrate our successes and embrace our challenges, so will you!Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
